- The STA R Max3 and Cobas t511 are automated hemostasis analysers used for various coagulation tests, using mechanical and optical detection methods respectively.
- In tests on fresh plasma samples without interference, both analysers showed good agreement for PT, APTT, fibrinogen, and factor II, while factor V and D-dimers had lower agreement but no clinical consequences.
- For hemolysed samples, the analysers yielded acceptable results for PT, fibrinogen, and D-dimers, but displayed discordance for APTT; the STA R Max3 performed better with highly lipemic samples.
