Acoustic resonance induced by theta-rhythm modulation of bioelectric activity caused moderate inhibition of solid Ehrlich tumors to take place and extended murine life span. No untoward side-effects were registered.

The pair correlation function, the order parameter correlation radius and critical temperature shift in a finite-size system were determined. The results obtained were utilized to estimate the temperature dependence of linear size of the activation zone in which ion channel conductivity changes in a correlative way.

In these children, the clinico-hematological parameters differed depending on the leukemic variant. Verification of the diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia variants in children will favour further perfection of the individualized treatment programs.

In view of this fact the x-raying of the chest should be regarded as a method of varifying the diagnosis of pneumonia. The roentgenographic findings should be estimated bearing in mind the presence or lack of a syndrome such as bronchial obstruction and the epidemiological anamnesis data.

Psychological, psycho-motor and electrophysiological tests performed in humans prior to and after oral administration of ethanol revealed that the latter induced the EEG synchronization of the predominant rhythm and enhancement of spindles in practically all healthy subjects. Considering, however, the background specifics of parameters under study and their changes after ethanol administration, it is possible to single out individuals with a greater risk factor in respect to their susceptibility to alcohol.

Basal indices of aldosteronemia in the patients under examination did not differ from those of the controls, whereas the plasma renin activity, hormone and its 3-hydroxy metabolite excretion with the urine significantly increased. Obsidan blocked renin secretion and lowered the blood plasma aldosterone content.

The authors examined the functional shifts occurring at various levels of the non-specific activation system of the brain in positive (euphoria in the state of alcoholic intoxication) and negative (anxiety in the period of abstinence) emotional states. An analysis of the EEG, as well as the EMG of the articulation muscles gives one grounds to suppose that the euphoria is accompanied by a weakening of the activation on the part of mesencephalon, and, at the same time, an intensification of the diencephalo-limbic activation processes. On the contrary, the anxiety is accompanied by mesencephalic hyperactivation which is, probably, eliminated after taking a dose of alcohol.

As a result of clinical examination of patients with juvenile thyrotoxicosis there was revealed an increase of the blood plasma renin and a derangement of mineralocorticoid function of the adrenal cortex expressed in increased aldosterone excretion, retention of sodium in the organism and reduction of potassium excretion. Normalization of aldosterone excretion in thyrotoxicosis compensation and after the surgical intervention can indicate the influence of increased amount of thyroid hormones on the mineralocorticoid function of the adrenal cortex.
