Background: Innovations in models of care for older adults living with frailty presenting to the emergency department (ED) have become a key priority for clinicians, researchers and policymakers due to the deleterious outcomes older adults experience due to prolonged exposure to such an environment. This study aimed to develop a set of expert consensus-based statements underpinning operational design, outcome measurement and evaluation of a Frailty at the Front Door (FFD) model of care for older adults within an Irish context.
Methods: A modified real-time Delphi method was used.

Background: Serological tests are crucial tools for assessments of SARS-CoV-2 exposure, infection and potential immunity. Their appropriate use and interpretation require accurate assay performance data.
Method: We conducted an evaluation of 10 lateral flow assays (LFAs) and two ELISAs to detect anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies.

Objectives: To examine the collective influence of a range of physical preparation elements on selected performance measures during Australian football match play.
Design: Prospective and longitudinal.
Methods: Data were collected from 34 professional Australian football players from the same club during the 2016 Australian Football League competition season.
We have investigated the mechanism by which the complement protease, Factor D, achieves its high specificity for the cleavage of Factor B in complex with C3(H2O). Kinetic experiments showed that Factor B and C3(H2O) associate with a KD of >/=2.5 microM and that Factor D acts on this complex with a second-order rate constant of kcat/KM >/= 2 x 10(6) M-1 s-1, close to the rate of a diffusion-controlled reaction for proteins of this size.
