Background: Optimal management after posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injury remains an active area of research, as reconstruction is technically challenging and poses unique risks in the posterior knee. Studies have reported variable rates of complications.

Purpose: To describe the rates of readmission, emergency department (ED) visits, and postoperative complications within 90 days of isolated PCL reconstruction (PCLR) in a large, national cohort to better understand the perioperative variables that influence a practitioner's decision of whether to pursue operative versus nonoperative management.

Case: A 43-year-old man suffered an irreducible posterolateral knee dislocation while snowboarding with associated tears of the anterior cruciate, posterior cruciate, medial collateral, and posterolateral corner ligaments. Two closed reduction attempts failed, and magnetic resonance imaging revealed incarcerated soft tissue from a tertiary gastrocnemius muscle head. The patient underwent open reduction and repair/reconstruction of his multiligamentous knee injury.

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the capacity of an expanded set of force steadiness tasks to explain the variance in the time it takes young men and women to complete the grooved pegboard test. In a single experimental session, 30 participants (mean ± SD) (24.2 ± 4.

Near-infrared (1064-nm) irradiation of neat solid samples of benzenethiolate monolayer-protected gold clusters (MPCs) yields strong, well-resolved Raman spectra of the thiolate groups, comparable to those obtained for the same groups adsorbed at roughened gold electrodes. These clusters are formulated as TOAZ[AuN(SPh)M]Z-, N >> M and Z = 3-6, with core diameters of 1.7 and 1.

We report a method to generate and isolate 22 and 29 kDa core mass gold:benzenethiolate monolayer-protected cluster (MPC) molecules and a subsequent reaction to yield [(octyl)4N]2[Au44(SC6H5)28] (8.7 kDa core) clusters from these materials. Characterization methods for these 1.
