Standardizing Domains and Metrics of Stroke Recovery: A Systematic Review.

Background And Aims: Measuring stroke recovery poses a significant challenge, given the complexity of the recovery process. We aimed to identify a standardized and data-driven set of metrics of stroke rehabilitation in the literature that ensures the inclusion of all recovery domains and subdomains in the literature.

Methods: A systematic review was conducted by four reviewers using the PRISMA guidelines on PubMed, MEDLINE, and Embase for stroke recovery articles between 2004 and 2024.

Enhancing mental health literacy and care through community-driven solutions in rural Bangladesh.

Women in rural Bangladesh encounter significant barriers to seeking mental healthcare, primarily due to stigmatization rooted in a lack of knowledge about mental health. To address this issue, community-based participatory research (CBPR) has been identified as a promising approach. CBPR involves the active collaboration of community members and stakeholders in the research process to tackle pressing community issues.

Perceptions of HIV risk screening strategies among patients seeking abortion, contraception, and pregnancy loss management in the United States.

Objectives: Women make up nearly a fifth of new human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections yearly in the United States, more than half of which could have been prevented with broader use of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). We aimed to qualitatively assess (1) acceptability of an HIV risk screening strategy and PrEP provision in a family planning setting, and (2) the influence of family planning visit type (abortion, pregnancy loss management, or contraception) on HIV risk screening acceptability.

Study Design: Guided by the P3 (practice-, provider-, and patient-level) model for preventive care interventions, we conducted three focus group discussions including patients who had experienced induced abortion, early pregnancy loss (EPL), or contraception care.
