[Biosynthesis of inducible L-ornithine decarboxylase by bacterial of the Vibrionaceae family].

The biosynthesis of L-ornithine decarboxylase was investigated in 73 strains of the Vibrionaceae family. V. harveyi 1175 was found to be most active.

[Conditions of the L-lysine decarboxylase biosynthesis in a culture of Vibrio sp].

The effect of L-lysine HCl concentrations, pH, temperature and cultivation conditions on the synthesis of intracellular lysine decarboxylase (LDC) by Vibrio sp. was studied. The highest LDC activity was observed in a 4-hour culture grown at 30 degrees on a nutrient medium, pH 5.

[Synthesis of aspartate decarboxylase in Escherichia coli strains].

The ability to synthesize intracellular aspartate decarboxylase was investigated in 19 E. coli strains, out of which strain AB 2472 proved most effective. The maximum accumulation of the enzyme was seen after 6-hour cultivation at pH 6.

[Effect of IAA on the content of RNA in the cells and isolated nuclei of Aspergillus oryzae].

The content of RNA in mycelium and isolated nuclei of Aspergillus oryzae 3-9-15 was studied after its growth during two days on the modified Capek medium containing 0.01 and 10 mg% of IAA. A direct correlation has been established between the extracellular concentration of IAA and its content in the mycelium and isolated nuclei of the fungus.
