Hematohidrosis is a rare clinical disorder characterized by oozing blood from intact skin and mucous membranes in the absence of a bleeding disorder. Most of the cases reported are from Asia. Although etiopathogenesis is unclear, it has been strongly linked to psychological stress.

Association Between Sleep Duration and Atrial Fibrillation: A Narrative Review.

Sleep duration is a substantial risk factor for several cardiovascular diseases, including atrial fibrillation (AF). Despite much research, the precise nature of the relationship between the amount of sleep and AF remains unclear. This narrative review explores the relationship between AF and sleep duration, looking at genetic, mechanistic, and epidemiological data to explain this association.

Mutation analysis of β-thalassemia in East-Western Indian population: a recent molecular approach.

Background: β-Thalassemia is the most prevalent genetic disorder in India. Its traits and coinheritance vary from mild to severe conditions, resulting in thalassemia minor, intermediate, and major, depending upon many factors.

Purpose: The objective of this study was to identify the incidence of β-thalassemia traits, their coinheritance, and mutations, as well as to support the patients already diagnosed with β-thalassemia in East-Western Indian population for better management.
