Our radiology department conducted an assessment of 300 neonatal radiographs in the neonatal intensive care unit over almost two years. The purpose was to evaluate the correct positioning of intravascular venous catheters. Our case series revealed that out of a total of 95 cases with misplaced devices, 59 were umbilical venous catheters and 36 were peripherally inserted central catheters.

Current evaluation of treatment response in solid tumors depends on dynamic changes in tumor diameters as measured by imaging. However, these changes can only be detected when there are enough macroscopic changes in tumor volume, which limits the usability of radiological response criteria in evaluating earlier stages of disease response and necessitates much time to lapse for gross changes to be notable. One promising approach is to incorporate dynamic changes in circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), which occur early in the course of therapy and can predict tumor responses weeks before gross size changes manifest.

Cough-induced rib fractures represent infrequent complications of strenuous and prolonged coughing, mostly provoked by respiratory tract infections, with localized chest pain being the most indicative component of the clinical picture. This paper reports a case of a 27-year-old female patient who presented with four cough-induced rib fractures following the contraction of an upper respiratory tract infection. The unique character of this case is provided by the young age of the patient, the presence of multiple and bilaterally located rib fractures, and the absence of predisposing factors related to her bone physiology.
