Background: Implant-supported prostheses have become a cornerstone of restorative dentistry, offering patients an effective solution for missing teeth. However, the choice of material for these prostheses can significantly impact their maintenance requirements and long-term success.
Methods: Patient records of individuals who received implant-supported prostheses over a 2-year period were reviewed.
Background: Serum leptin concentrations are reported to be elevated in patients with periodontal diseases and may have a modulating role in cardiovascular diseases. Serum leptin concentrations have not been assessed in periodontitis associated with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) to date. The purpose of this study was to assess the concentration of serum leptin in periodontitis associated with AMI.

Background: The health model which forms the basis is knowledge, attitude, temporary, and permanent behaviors. Currently, more emphasis has been directed towards the combined influence of lifestyle, education, levels and socioeconomic factors, instead of regular risk factors in dealing with chronic illnesses.
