Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the incidence and risks of excessive distension absorption during hysteroscopic surgery using a 5% mannitol solution, aiming to establish a safe fluid deficit threshold for this complication.
  • It is a retrospective study of over 10,000 patients and found an overall incidence of 0.46%, with higher rates in specific procedures like transcervical resection of fibroids (2.57%).
  • The study highlights that excessive distension absorption can occur quickly and lead to significant issues like circulation overload and pulmonary edema, emphasizing the need for careful monitoring in these surgeries.

Chromosome rearrangement plays important roles in development, carcinogenesis and evolution. However, its mechanism and subsequent effects are not fully understood. Large-scale chromosome rearrangement has been performed in the simple eukaryote, wine yeast, but the relative research in mammalian cells remains at the level of individual chromosome rearrangement due to technical limitations.

Gonadotrophin‑releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists (GnRHa) have been widely used to induce a state of downregulation for in vitro fertilization, and its direct effects on the pituitary are well known. However, the effects of GnRHa on the expression of anti‑mullerian hormone (AMH) by follicles in varying stages in vivo remain to be fully elucidated. In the present study 84 cyclic mice were randomly divided equally into four GnRHa groups and three cyclic mice were used as a control group.
