Herein, a novel Janus-structured multifunctional membrane with integrated electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and personalized thermal management is fabricated using shear-induced in situ fibrillation and vacuum-assisted filtration. Interestingly, within the polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)-carbon nanotube (CNT)-FeO layer (FCFe), CNT nanofibers interweave with PTFE fibers to form a stable "silk-like" structure that effectively captures FeO particles. By incorporating a highly conductive MXene layer, the FCFe/MXene (FCFe/M) membrane exhibits excellent electrical/thermal conductivity, mechanical properties, and flame retardancy.

In this study, lightweight, flexible, and environmentally robust dual-nanofibrous membranes made of carbon nanotube (CNT) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) are fabricated using a novel shear-induced in situ fibrillation method for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. The unique spiderweb-like network, constructed from fine CNTs and PTFE fibrils, integrates the inherent characteristics of these two materials to achieve high conductivity, superhydrophobicity, and extraordinary chemical resistance. The dual-nanofibrous membranes demonstrate a high EMI shielding effectiveness (SE) of 25.
