To investigate the prognostic value of deep learning-based automated quantification of tumor-stroma ratio (TSR) in patients undergoing neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) for breast cancer. Specimens were collected from 209 breast cancer patients who received NAT at Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from October 2019 to June 2023. TSR levels in pre-NAT biopsy specimens were automatically computed using a deep learning algorithm and categorized into low stroma (TSR≤30%), intermediate stroma (TSR 30% to ≤60%), and high stroma (TSR>60%) groups.

Mycobacterium abscessus (Mab) poses serious therapeutic challenges, largely due to its intrinsic resistance to many antibiotics. The development of targeted therapeutic strategies necessitates the identification of bacterial factors that contribute to its reduced susceptibility to antibiotics and/or to the killing by its host cells. In nonmetallic crystals, heat is transported by phonons of different frequencies, each contributing differently to the overall heat flux spectrum. In this study, we demonstrate a significant redistribution of heat flux among phonon frequencies when phonons transmit across the interface between dissimilar solids. This redistribution arises from the natural tendency of phononic heat to re-establish the bulk distribution characteristic of the material through which it propagates.

We systematically investigate the magnetization and thermodynamic responses associated with antiferromagnetic (AFM) transitions in single crystals of the magnetic semiconductor Eu3InAs3. The linear thermal expansion measurements around the AFM transition temperatures, TN1 and TN2, indicate an expansion along the a axis and contraction along the b and c axes. The calculated ∆V/V(T) shows a continuous change at TN, indicating a second-order magnetic phase transition.

Parity-time symmetry is a fundamental concept in non-Hermitian physics that has recently gained attention for its potential in engineering advanced electronic systems and achieving robust wireless power transfer even in the presence of disturbances, through the incorporation of nonlinearity. However, the current parity-time-symmetric scheme falls short of achieving the theoretical maximum efficiency of wireless power transfer and faces challenges when applied to non-resistive loads. In this study, we propose a theoretical framework and provide experimental evidence demonstrating that asymmetric resonance, based on dispersive gain, can greatly enhance the efficiency of wireless power transfer beyond the limits of symmetric approaches.
