Unlabelled: Arsenic (As) is commonly sequestered at the sediment-water interface (SWI) in mining-impacted lakes through adsorption and/or co-precipitation with authigenic iron (Fe)-(oxy)hydroxides or sulfides. The results of this study demonstrate that the accumulation of organic matter (OM) in near-surface sediments also influences the mobility and fate of As in sub-Arctic lakes. The presence of hazardous agents in workplaces has raised concerns regarding their possible impacts on male reproductive system. The present study investigated the individual and combined effects of exposure to heat stress and electromagnetic fields with low-frequency characteristics on the levels of sex hormones in two foundry sections (Aluminum and Cast Iron) of an automobile parts manufacturing plant. The level of workers' exposure (n = 110) to each of the mentioned stressors, was measured through standard methods and for each person and the time-weighted average (TWA) of exposure was calculated.

In this paper, we propose a non-chiral metasurface using an array of V-shaped silver nanostructures surrounded by two graphene sheets to obtain a tunable strong circular dichroism. The position of peaks and dips in the dichroism spectrum depends on the Fermi energy of graphene and can be tuned by changing Fermi energy. For Fermi energies larger than a specific value, stronger tunable circular dichroism is observed.

Extramedullary hematopoiesis (EMH) usually occurs in patients with severe anemia or myelofibrosis, and involvement of the serous cavities is uncommon. A total of 5 cases of peritoneal EMH are presented in patients presenting with primary gynecologic pathology including endometrial adenosarcoma (n=2), ovarian leiomyosarcoma, and ovarian endometrioid adenocarcinoma (each n=1), all of which were associated with peritoneal metastases; the remaining patient had a hemorrhagic benign ovarian cyst. All cases were associated with organizing peritoneal hemorrhage, and EMH was localized to the reactive granulation tissue.
