Gastric cancer (GC) is a common malignant disease that has a fifth highest incidence and fourth highest mortality worldwide. The Warburg effect is a common phenomenon observed in tumors, which suggests that tumor cells would enhance glucose uptake by overexpressing multiple glucose transporters. Sodium glucose transporter 2 (SGLT2) is one of glucose transporters which highly expressed in several cancers, but its role in gastric cancer is still unclear.

Aim: To determine the role of LSM5 in the progression of colon cancer and the potential underlying mechanism involved.
Background: Microtia is reported to be one of the most common congenital craniofacial malformations. Due to the complex etiology and the ethical barrier of embryonic study, the precise mechanisms of microtia remain unclear. Here we report a rare case of microtia with costal chondrodysplasia based on bioinformatics analysis and further verifications on other sporadic microtia patients.

Methods: The mice were given long-term low-dose DLM by intragastric administration, and the body weights and disease activity index (DAI) scores of the mice were regularly recorded.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to explore the prognostic role of γδ T cells in colorectal cancer, and establish a nomogram for predicting the survival of the patients.
Methods: Immunohistochemistry was performed to analyze the infiltration degree of γδ T cells in tumor and normal tissues of colorectal cancer. The relationship between γδ T cells infiltration in tumor tissues and the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer were determined by Cox regression analysis and survival analysis.
Ulcerative colitis is a chronic disease that increases the risk of developing colorectal cancer. Conventional medications are limited by drug delivery and a weak capacity to modulate the inflammatory microenvironment. Further, gut microbiota dysbiosis caused by mucosal damage and dysregulated redox homeostasis leads to frequent recurrence.

Methods: Mice were treated with DLM (0.
Background: The effects of FBXO43 on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and its clinical significance have not yet been determined. This study aims to determine the clinical significance of FBXO43 in HCC and its impact on the biological functions of HCC cells.
Methods: Data from TCGA database were downloaded to investigate the expression of FBXO43 in HCC and its correlation with prognosis and immune infiltration.
Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) was often observed after surgeries, causing a lot of suffering to patients. Inflammation and apoptosis were critical determinants during MIRI. We conveyed experiments to reveal the regulatory functions of circHECTD1 in MIRI development.

According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, consecutive esophageal cancer patients who were treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from January 2020 to February 2022 were enrolled in this study as a training cohort, while patients who were treated in the Shaanxi Provincial Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Medical College of Xi'an Jiaotong University from January 2020 to December 2021 were enrolled as a validation cohort. All patients were treated with resectable locally advanced esophageal cancer and received neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy.

Methods: BC patients diagnosed and treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from January 2019 to June 2022 were included. The correlation between pCR and clinicopathological characteristics was analyzed by Chi-square test.
Background: Hepatitis B virus X protein () is overexpressed in tumor tissues and regulates cancer progression. However, the molecular mechanism of in gastric cancer (GC) is poorly understood. Hence, we aimed to dissect the underlying role of in the development of GC.

In our research, we constructed a novel risk-scoring system to identify the potential TNBC patients benefiting from adjuvant chemotherapy in T1miN0M0, T1aN0M0, and T1bN0M0 stages.
Methods: Relevant data were extracted from the SEER database.
Background: High RSPH14 expression appears to be related to poor prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study aimed to investigate the possible roles of RSPH14 in the proliferation, apoptosis, and invasion of HCC cells.
Methods: The UALCAN database and Kaplan-Meier Plotter were used to evaluate the expression level and prognostic role of RSPH14 in HCC.
Cancer is one of the most important public health problems in the world. The curative effect of traditional surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy is limited and has inevitable side effects. As a potential target for tumor therapy, few studies have comprehensively analyzed the role of CALR in cancers.

Background: Thus far, few studies have systematically analyzed the profiles of immune cells infiltrated in the tumor microenvironment (TME) of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Therefore, the purpose of our study was to comprehensively analyze the 22 tumor-infiltrating immune cells (TIICs) and the immune subtypes of HCC, as well as the factors associated with the prognosis of HCC patients.
Methods: In this study, we evaluated the abundance of 22 tumor-infiltrating immunocytes of 371 HCC patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database by using the CIBERSORT algorithm, and defined immune subtypes of HCC according to unsupervised cluster analysis.
Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors-induced myocarditis presents unique clinical challenges. Here, we assessed post-marketing safety of cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein-4 (CTLA-4), programmed cell death-1 (PD-1), and programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors by mining the real-world data reported in two international pharmacovigilance databases.
Methods: We analyzed immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs)-associated fatal adverse drug events (ADEs) reports from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) collected from July 1, 2014 to December 31, 2019 and data from EudraVigilance (EV) database accessed on February 29, 2020.
Gamma delta (γδ) T cells can effectively recognize and kill colorectal cancer (CRC) cells, thereby suppressing tumor progression multiple mechanisms. They also have abilities to exert a protumor effect secreting interleukin-17 (IL-17). γδ T cells have been selected as potential immunocytes for antitumor treatment because of their significant cytotoxic activity.
