Article Synopsis
  • The study evaluated how demographic and clinical factors influence the success of canalicular laceration repairs in children under 10 using the Mini Monoka stent.
  • A total of 18 children (9 boys and 9 girls) had an average age of 5.39 years, with most injuries resulting from direct trauma like a mother's blouse hook.
  • The findings showed high anatomical (88.9%) and functional success (94.4%) rates, regardless of whether the repair occurred early or late after the injury, indicating that timing didn't significantly impact the outcomes.
