Article Synopsis
  • - The study investigates the effectiveness and safety of using the "electrified wire" technique for creating fenestrations in various types of aortic stent-grafts to treat complex aortic aneurysms.
  • - Results showed that the Zenith and RelayPro stent-grafts performed significantly better than the Endurant in terms of puncture success and fenestration size post-ballooning.
  • - While some damage such as fraying and tearing occurred across all groups, the Endurant group required additional treatment for stenosis, unlike the RelayPro and Zenith groups which showed no significant issues post-procedure.

A patient with coral reef aorta at the level of the renal and visceral arteries was treated endovascularly. We used intravascular lithotripsy for improving stent expansion and intravascular ultrasound as an intraoperative diagnostic tool. The renal artery periscope technique maintained renal perfusion after placement of the aortic endograft.

Dietary lipids and lipophilic vitamins are transported by postprandial lipoproteins and are required for bone metabolism. Despite that, it remains unknown whether bone cells are involved in the uptake of circulating postprandial lipoproteins in vivo. The current study was performed to investigate a putative participation of bone in the systemic postprandial lipoprotein metabolism in mice, to identify potentially involved cell type populations and to analyze whether lipoprotein uptake affects bone function in vivo.
