The recruitment of the phosphorus-solubilizing rhizobacteria plays an important role in response to phosphorus deficiency. Through the treatments of Arabidopsis thaliana (Col-0) and the FERONIA (FER) functional deficient mutants (fer-4 and fer-5) with the soil suspension in various phosphorus conditions, we discovered that FER could promote phosphorus-solubilizing rhizobacteria enrichment to rescue the defective plant during phosphorus deficiency. The amplicon sequencing data reflected that the phosphorus-solubilizing rhizobacterial genus Alcaligenes was significantly enriched of Col-0 than fer-4 in low phosphorus conditions.

Background: The number of metastatic lymph nodes (MLNs) is not considered in the nodal status (N classification) of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) in the current 8Edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging system. The aim of this study was to find out the optimal cut-off point based on the number of MLNs and establish a modified AJCC staging system for ICC according to the new N category.

Methods: A total of 675 ICC patients diagnosed between 2004 and 2015 were retrieved from the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database.

Introduction: Patients with obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) are more sensitive to postanaesthesia respiratory depression. Whether different anaesthetic regimens (intravenous-based or inhalational-based general anaesthesia) affect the postanaesthesia respiratory depression is controversial. Although desflurane has been reported that presents favourable rapid recovery profile in special patients including whom with OSA, the strong clinical evidence of the benefit on postanaesthesia respiratory depression is far from being revealed.
