Currently, the visual detection of a target's shock flow field through background schlieren technology is a novel detection system. However, there are very few studies on the long-distance background schlieren imaging mechanism and its application in system design in the field of target detection. This paper proposes a design optimization method for space-based BOS detection system metrics.

Methods: A total of 135 neonatal pneumonia patients with an identified pathogen were enrolled from the newborn intensive care units of 10 tertiary hospitals in China.
Lung ultrasound (LUS) is now widely used in the diagnosis and monitor of neonatal lung diseases. Nevertheless, in the published literatures, the LUS images may display a significant variation in technical execution, while scanning parameters may influence diagnostic accuracy. The inter- and intra-observer reliabilities of ultrasound exam have been extensively studied in general and in LUS.

Methods: The registration information of 7684 preterm infants with gestational age <37 weeks were collected from the cooperative units in the task group between January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014. Specially trained personnel from each cooperative units filled in the unified form in a standardized format to record the gender, gestational age, birth weight, PROM, placental abruption, antenatal corticosteroid, Apgar score, amniotic fluid pollution, and complications of the infants.

This study investigated the effects of hyperoxia on dynamic changes of thioredoxin-1 (Trx1) and thioredoxin reductase-1 (TrxR1) in alveolar type II epithelial cells (AECII) of premature rats. Pregnant Sprague-Dawley rats were sacrificed on day 19 of gestation. AECII were isolated and purified from the lungs of premature rats.

Oxygen toxicity is known to be one of the major contributors to bronchopulmonary dysplasia, a chronic lung disease in premature infants. Thioredoxin (Trx) is an antioxidant that prevents oxidative stress-induced cell death, suggesting a potential therapeutic role in bronchopulmonary dysplasia. The aim of this study was to determine the role of Trx in the pathogenesis of hyperoxia-induced alveolar epithelial cell injury.
