Natural polysaccharides possess various biological functions and have become increasingly important as drug candidates for biomedical development. However, the accessibility to multiple-branched and large-sized acidic polysaccharides with well-defined structures and the identification of related active glycan domains remain challenging. Here, we report the precision synthesis of a highly branched acidic pectin polysaccharide up to a 63-mer containing 10 different glycosidic linkages from .

Objectives: Neonatal sepsis is one of the causes of neonatal mortality and bacterial resistance to antibiotics is one of the challenges facing NICU. The aim of this study was to provide a basis for empirical antibiotic selection by comprehensively searching Chinese and non-Chinese databases for studies related to neonatal sepsis pathogenesis conducted in China and synthesizing all the results of the studies conducted in hospitals in China during the period under study METHODS: In this study, we conducted extensive searches of Pubmed, Web of Science, Cochrane, China Biology Medicine disc (SinoMed), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Wanfang Data. We screened studies published from 2014 to 2023 that were conducted in hospitals in mainland China and involved bacterial blood cultures and susceptibility tests in neonates with neonatal sepsis and extracted the data, which were summarized using Stata 18.

However, the rapid synthesis process often results in excessively small particle sizes, increasing surface area and thereby intensifying side reactions with the electrolyte, which can damage the cathode electrolyte interface (CEI) and diminish cycling stability. Herein, we designed a topological phase transition strategy to assemble small KMn-HCF particles into a 600 nm cubic superstructure.

Globo H, a specific carbohydrate antigen overexpressed on various human malignancies, has attracted considerable interest as an antigenic target for anticancer vaccine development. Despite several Globo H-based carbohydrate vaccines that have been designed, efficient access to Globo H hexasaccharide antigen and development of powerful adjuvants for enhancing antitumor immunity remain challenging. Herein, we reported a streamlined chemoenzymatic approach to prepare this hexasaccharide antigen, relying on chemical synthesis of Gb5 pentasaccharide by a stereoconvergent [2+3] strategy and subsequent enzymatic α-fucosylation to easily install α1,2-fucose residue.

However, the inherent vacancies and the presence of HO within the imperfect crystal structure of Mn─HCF lead to material failure and interface failure when used as a cathode. Addressing the challenge of constructing a stable cathode is an urgent scientific problem that needs to be solved to enhance the performance and lifespan of these batteries.

Herein, a sandwich-type immunosensor was constructed for detection CA72-4 based on composite nanomaterial as the substrate material and trimetal nanoparticles as the nanoprobe. The composite nanomaterial rGO-TEPA/ZIF67@ZIF8/Au used as a selective bio-recognition element were modified on the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface.

In the present study, MnO/hollow nanobox metal-organic framework (HNM)-AuPtPd nanocomposites were prepared via multi-step synthesis and superposition method and a series of characterizations were carried out. A highly sensitive immunosensor Ab/MnO/HNM-AuPtPd/GCE based on the composite nanomaterial was further prepared and used to detect the tumor marker CA72-4.

In recent years, experts and academics in the environmental management field have developed an interest in the factors and evaluation techniques that influence corporate environmental investment decisions. However, there are substantial differences between studies employing the most recent evaluation methodologies and those that use indicator systems. To explore the mechanisms that influence corporate environmental investment, this study investigated the determinants of environmental investment through the perspectives of firm, board, chair, and chief executive officer (CEO) characteristics using a machine learning approach.

Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses revealed that 1 possesses a 3D architecture composed of a trinuclear cluster [CoN(CO)(μ-O)], 2 exhibits a 2D new topological framework with the point symbol (8·12)(8), whereas 3 shows a unique six-fold interpenetrated 3D framework with a (6·8·10)(6)(8) topology. Impressively, all of them can function as a highly selective and sensitive fluorescent sensor for the biomarker methylmalonic acid (MMA) via fluorescence quenching.
