Background: Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) -derived exosomes, especially adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell exosomes (ADSC-Exos), have emerged as a promising alternative for skin damage repair with anti-inflammatory, angiogenic and cell proliferation effects while overcoming some of the limitations of MSC. However, the mechanism by which ADSC-Exos regulates inflammatory cells during wound healing remains unclear. This study investigated how ADSC-Exos regulate macrophages to promote wound healing.

Background: Hypertrophic scar (HS) is a fibroproliferative disorder resulting from abnormal healing of skin tissue after injury. Although various therapies are currently employed in clinical to treat HSs, there is no widely accepted standard therapy. Micro-plasma radiofrequency (MPR) and autologous chyle fat grafting are emerging treatments for this condition, and they have demonstrated promising therapeutic outcomes in clinical applications.

Background: The incidence of skin and soft tissue nontuberculous mycobacteria infection (SSTNI) is increasing. But it may be challenging to diagnose and treat SSTNI.

Objective: To summarize course, clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of SSTNI and discuss the association between SSTNI and procedures.

Unlabelled: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of TGF-β on keloid and its molecular mechanism in fibroblasts.

Methods: The difference between normal tissue and keloid tissue can be detected using HE staining. Fibroblasts were treated with TGF-β, and then treated with the BRD4 inhibitor JQ1 and the STAT3 activator Colivelin TFA.

Background: Aesthetic injections have become increasingly popular for maintaining a youthful appearance. However, with the rise of SARS-CoV-2, there have been concerns about potential complications. This study aims to summarize and understand the complications that occur in individuals who have received cosmetic injections after SARS-CoV-2 infection or vaccination.

Background: Intravascular injection represents the most severe complication in fat transplantation procedures. Currently, the prognosis for patients who suffer from blindness due to fat transplantation-induced ocular vascular occlusion is far from optimistic.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to explore and evaluate the efficacy and safety of arterial thrombolysis in the treatment of ocular vascular occlusion caused by fat transplantation.

Background: Hypertrophic scar (HTS) is a prevalent chronic inflammatory skin disorder characterized by abnormal proliferation and extracellular matrix deposition and the precise mechanisms underlying HTS remain elusive. This study aimed to identify and validate potential immune-related genes associated with hypertrophic scar formation.

Methods: Skin samples from normal (n = 12) and hypertrophic scar tissues (n = 12) were subjected to RNA-seq analysis.

Background: The increasing popularity of cosmetic injections using various fillers and neuromodulators for facial rejuvenation has brought both new opportunities and challenges to this field.

Aim: Our study was designed to employ bibliometric and visual analysis for a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of facial cosmetic injections, as well as to identify research trends and hotspots in this field.

Methods: All publications covering facial cosmetic injection during 2002-2023 were retrieved and extracted from the Web of Science database.

Background: At present, there are many kinds of hypertrophic scar treatment methods, among which pressure therapy and silicone therapy are very common and standard therapies, but whether they are used alone or in combination is still controversial. Therefore, the purpose of this systematic review was to compare the efficacy and safety of the combination of pressure therapy and silicone therapy (PTS) with pressure therapy alone (PT) in the treatment of hypertrophic scars to provide clinicians with information so that they can make better decisions.

Methods: Relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were collected by searching PubMed, Ovid MEDLINE, Embase, ScienceDirect, Web of Science, The Cochrane Library, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases to assess scar scores (The Vancouver Scar Scale, VSS; Visual Analog Scale, VAS) and adverse effects.

White sponge nevus (WSN) is a rare autosomal dominant disease with a family history, often caused by mutations of the keratin 4 (K4) and keratin 13 (K13) genes in patients. It is characterized by frequently occurred white corrugated folds in the bilateral buccal mucosa with soft texture. On histopathological examination, hyperkeratosis of epithelial cells, edema, and vacuolar changes in the spinous cells are observed in the lesions, despite a normal layer of basal cells.

Background: Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) is known to be a monogenic genetic disease caused by a variety of genes demonstrating a wide spectrum of penetrance. FAM83H is reported to be involved in AI: however, whether FAM83H causes AI with incomplete penetrance is unclear.

Methods: Whole-exome sequencing was performed on two patients with AI, and putative disease-related variants were validated by Sanger sequencing.
