Purpose: This study evaluated whether endovascular therapy (ET) improved early symptom relief and decreased the incidence of moderate-to-severe post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) compared to anticoagulation alone in patients with subacute (15-28 days) iliofemoral deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
Materials And Methods: Consecutive patients with subacute iliofemoral DVT from January 2020 to June 2022 were identified. A total of 86 patients were categorized to treatment with ET alongside anticoagulation (endovascular group, n = 49) or anticoagulation alone (anticoagulation group, n = 37).
The abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a severe and complex condition characterized by the pathological dilation of the abdominal aorta. Current therapeutic strategies are limited, with surgical repair being the most effective intervention due to the lack of medications that can slow aneurysmal expansion or prevent adverse events. In this study, an innovative nanoplatform, Mn-UiO-66-NH@HA, designed to repair vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs), and the extracellular matrix (ECM) is developed, thereby enhancing arterial wall integrity.

This study aims to assess the sex-specific association between HDL-c and incident AAA in older adults from the UK Biobank.
Methods: This cohort study included 86,184 males and 95,682 females aged ≥60 years from the UK biobank.
FKBP4, a member of the FK506-binding protein (FKBP) family, is a promising target for a variety of disorders, including cancer. However, its underlying molecular mechanism and potential function in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are largely elusive. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the expression status, functional implications and underlying mechanisms of FKBP4 in HCC.

Breeding crops with resistance is an efficient way to control bacterial blight. However, enhancing resistance often incurs a fitness penalty, making it challenging to simultaneously increase bacterial blight resistance and yield potential.

Once PTS occurs, there is no specific treatment, and some patients constantly experience intolerable symptoms. Hence, prevention of PTS is important.

The phenotype of rice clustered spikelet mutants results from the upregulation of the FAD/NAD(P)-binding oxidoreductase family gene OsFAD1. Enhanced interaction between OsFAD1 and the transcription factor OsMYBR22 leads to the upregulation of the spikelet clustering-related BR catabolic gene BRD3.

This study is to assess whether FYTF-919 is safe and effective as compared to matching placebo treatment in patients with acute ICH.
Methods: The ongoing Chinese Herbal medicine in patients with Acute INtracerebral hemorrhage (CHAIN) is a multicenter, prospective, randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled trial of FYTF-919 in patients with acute ICH at 20-30 hospital sites in China.

We aimed to clarify the mechanisms of male predominance of hepatitis B virus (HBV) -related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Androgen receptor (AR) facilitates HCC cell growth, which was augmented by androgen (dihydrotestosterone [DHT]) and attenuated by anti-androgen (flutamide). AR upregulated the expressions of BIRC7, IGFBP3, and NTSR1 via increasing their promoter activities, which were enhanced by DHT.

Objective: Pregnancy care can improve maternal pregnancy outcomes. Cluster nursing, an evidence-based, patient-centered model, enhances pregnancy care, can provide patients with high-quality nursing services, has been widely used in clinical practice in recent years. However, most previous studies evaluated cluster nursing program only for a single clinical scenario.

This study aimed to investigate phenotypic heterogeneity in patients with Stanford type B aortic dissection (TBAD) through machine learning clustering analysis of cardiovascular computed tomography (CT) imaging.
Methods: Electronic medical records were collected to extract demographic and clinical features of patients with TBAD.
Employing deep learning techniques for the semantic segmentation of remote sensing images has emerged as a prevalent approach for acquiring information about water bodies. Yet, current models frequently fall short in accurately extracting water bodies from high-resolution remote sensing images, as these images often present intricate details of terrestrial objects and complex backgrounds. Vegetation, shadows, and other objects close to water boundaries have increased similarity to water bodies.

Recent insights into RNA methylation and microRNA-mediated gene regulation offer new avenues for exploring how these processes contribute to the pathophysiology of TAD, particularly through the modulation of pyroptosis and smooth muscle cell viability. This research aimed to elucidate the interplay of m1A-related gene expressions and miR-16-5p/YTHDC1 Axis in NLRP3-dependent pyroptosis, a mechanism implicated in the pathogenesis of TAD.

Immunoglobulin A (IgA) against EBV nuclear antigen 1 (EBNA1) and viral capsid antigen (VCA), and recently identified anti-BNLF2b antibodies have been shown to be the most effective screening tool; however, the screening efficacy still needs to be improved. This study developed a multiplex serological assay by testing IgA and immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against representative EBV antigens that are highly transcribed in NPC and/or function crucially in viral reactivation, including BALFs, BNLF2a/b, LF1, LF2, and Zta (BZLF1).

It has been observed that the EHL of GD patients varies after taking lithium carbonate. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether EHL can be extended and to identify the predictive factors associated with this outcome.

Methods: This retrospective study included 100 patients diagnosed with TETs who underwent pretreatment F-FDG PET/CT. The maximum and mean standardized uptake values (SUVmax and SUVmean), metabolic tumor volume (MTV), and total lesion glycolysis (TLG) on PET/CT were measured.
Background: Endovenous interventions and minimally invasive procedures are effective in the management of varicose veins. However, they can cause postoperative discomfort.
Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of sodium aescinate (SA) in improving edema, pain, vein-specific symptoms, and quality of life in patients following endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) for varicose veins.
Vascular endothelial cell premature senescence plays an important part in stroke. Many microRNAs (miRNAs) are known to be involved in the pathological process of vascular endothelial cell premature senescence. The present study aimed to investigate the mechanism of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)-induced premature senescence in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and effect of miR-142-3p on hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)-induced premature senescence.

To address the rising food demand, it is urgent to develop crop varieties with enhanced yield and greater salt tolerance by delving into genes associated with salt tolerance and high-yield traits. MiR396b/GRF6 module has previously been demonstrated to increase rice yield by shaping the inflorescence architecture.
