Background: To investigate the efficacy of three-compartment restriction spectrum imaging (RSI), diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI), and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) in the assessment of lymph node metastases (LNM) in rectal cancer.

Methods: A total of 77 patients with rectal cancer who underwent pelvic MRI were enrolled. RSI-derived parameters (f, f, and f), DKI-derived parameters (D and K), and the DWI-derived parameter (ADC) were calculated and compared using a Mann-Whitney U test or independent samples t-test.

Chromium (VI) (Cr(VI)) generally coexists with organic dyes in industrial effluents, posing a formidable challenge in water purification. Herein, NH-MIL-125(Ti)/TiO Z-scheme heterojunction with intimate interfacial contact was synthesized for synchronous removal of pollutant in coexisting Cr(VI)/dyes system under simulated solar irradiation. Structural and optical investigations indicated that a well-defined interface was formed by establishing a Ti-N-C bond, facilitating the spatial separation of the photoexcited carriers of the Z-scheme heterojunction.

Background And Objective: To investigate the use of high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (HR-MRI) to identify the characteristics of culprit plaques in intracranial arteries, and to evaluate the predictive value of the characteristics of culprit plaques combined with the modified Essen score for the recurrence risk of high-risk non-disabling ischemic cerebrovascular events (HR-NICE) patients.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 180 patients with HR-NICE at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University, including 128 patients with no recurrence (non-recurrence group) and 52 patients with recurrence (recurrence group). A total of 65 patients with HR-NICE were collected from the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University as a validation group, and their modified Essen scores, high-resolution magnetic resonance vessel wall images, and clinical data were collected.

We reported the specific fluorescent probe (MC-BOD-XDS) with two-steps reaction based on monosulfanyl-coumarin-BODIPY for selective detection of cysteine, high activity sulfanyl-coumarin as the multiple reaction group instead of a group internal standard fluorophore. The reaction mechanism of MC-BOD-XDS for detecting cysteine was different from the reported probes about the nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction (SNAr) of chlorinated BODIPY. The fluorescent color of MC-BOD-XDS changed from yellow to red, and then to orange.

Two nano-material-containing azo groups have been designed and developed, and the binding ability of nano-materials with various amino acids has been characterized by UV-vis and fluorescence titrations. Results indicated that two nano-materials showed the strongest binding ability for homocysteine among twenty normal kinds of amino acids (alanine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, methionine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, arginine, glycine, serine, threonine, asparagine, phenylalanine, histidine, tryptophan, proline, lysine, glutamine, tyrosine and homocysteine). The reason for the high sensitivity for homocysteine was that two nano-materials containing an aldehyde group reacted with SH in homocysteine and afforded very stable thiazolidine derivatives.

In this retrospective analysis of MRI findings for atypical meningiomas in First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from January to July in 2012, the location, morphology and tumor signals and other tumor imaging characteristics were covered. In 13 cases of atypical meningioma patients of this group, most tumors were located at typical sites (10/13), mainly the falx cerebri, parasagittal, convexity, saddle area.

The aim of this study was to explore the diagnostic value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for levamisole-induced demyelinating leukoencephalopathy. The clinical features and MRI findings of 15 patients with levamisole-induced demyelinating leukoencephalopathy were retrospectively analyzed. The abnormality rate of the patients was demonstrated to be 100% by MRI, and scattered multiple cerebral foci were observed in all of the patients.
