Relationship between plant community functional diversity and ecosystem multifunctionality (EMF) was a new area of ecological research in recent years. Previous studies had mostly focused on the relationship between plant community functional diversity and individual ecosystem function, and lack of understanding of the EMF. In this study, six functional indices of aboveground biomass, soil organic carbon, soil total nitrogen, soil total phosphorus, soil available nitrogen and soil available phosphorus of Gannan alpine meadow were selected to analyze the relationship between plant community functional diversity and EMF on the altitude gradient of Gannan alpine mea-dow by using Bartlett sphericity test and multi-threshold method.

Article Synopsis
  • Air quality is improving in parts of China, but the Fenwei Plain is facing worsening air pollution, particularly from absorptive aerosols, as identified through spatial analysis and modeling.
  • Annual average absorbing aerosol index (AAI) values have increased since 2005, with Xi'an and Linfen showing significant pollution clusters, while other areas experienced a decrease in pollution levels.
  • Seasonal patterns reveal high AAI values during winter months due to poor atmospheric diffusion, while back trajectory modeling indicates pollution sources include long-range transport from the northwest and short-range transport from the east and south.

Article Synopsis
  • Osteoporosis is a significant global health issue, and existing treatments are inadequate due to a limited understanding of the condition's mechanisms.
  • This study investigates how Wuling Powder, a traditional Chinese medicine, may help treat osteoporosis by identifying common biological targets and analyzing their relationships using various scientific methods like GO and KEGG.
  • The research identified 14 key targets linked to osteoporosis, with EGF, ERBB2, MTOR, and HIF-1 being highlighted as potential therapeutic targets influenced by Wuling Powder.
