This study presents a novel approach to identifying meters and their pointers in modern industrial scenarios using deep learning. We developed a neural network model that can detect gauges and one or more of their pointers on low-quality images. We use an encoder network, jump connections, and a modified Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) to detect gauge panels and pointer keypoints in images.

Introduction: Monitoring crop spike growth using low-altitude remote sensing images is essential for precision agriculture, as it enables accurate crop health assessment and yield estimation. Despite the advancements in deep learning-based visual recognition, existing crop spike detection methods struggle to balance computational efficiency with accuracy in complex multi-scale environments, particularly on resource-constrained low-altitude remote sensing platforms.

Methods: To address this gap, we propose FDRMNet, a novel feature diffusion reconstruction mechanism network designed to accurately detect crop spikes in challenging scenarios.

Article Synopsis
  • Necrozoospermia is a rare condition that makes it hard for men to have healthy sperm, affecting about 3.4% of men in a study of 650 couples.
  • The study found that older age and certain factors in sperm quality are linked to necrozoospermia.
  • Men with necrozoospermia had lower success rates for fertilization than men without this condition, so it's important for doctors to know about it when helping couples who want to have kids.

Since the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic began, several research groups in different countries have described cases of aplastic anaemia (AA) after COVID-19 or COVID-19 vaccination. Here, we present the case of a patient with new-onset AA in Changsha, China, that was presumably associated with preceding severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. We conducted an epidemiological assessment of the incidence rate of blood system diseases from July 1, 2022, to May 31, 2023, in the haematology department of the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and Hunan Children's Hospital.

InGaAs/AlGaAs multiple quantum well lasers grown on silicon (001) by molecular beam epitaxy have been demonstrated. By inserting InAlAs trapping layers into AlGaAs cladding layers, misfit dislocations easily located in the active region can be effectively transferred out of the active region. For comparison, the same laser structure without the InAlAs trapping layers was also grown.

New plasma expansion models and change rate models of plasma excitation were established under cylindrical coordinates. Expansion models were used to numerically analyse the plasma expansion characteristics of the nanosecond pulsed laser truing and dressing of a bronze-diamond grinding wheel (LTDBDGW). The results showed that the plasma expansions in the - and -directions were approximately 8 × 10 m and 2.

Three-dimensional (3D) scaffolds with chemical diversity are significant to direct cell adhesion onto targeted surfaces, which provides solutions to further control over cell fates and even tissue formation. However, the site-specific modification of specific biomolecules to realize selective cell adhesion has been a challenge with the current methods when building 3D scaffolds. Conventional methods of immersing as-prepared structures in solutions of biomolecules lead to nonselective adsorption; recent printing methods have to address the problem of switching multiple nozzles containing different biomolecules.

Geniposide (GP) as an agonist of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) is an iridoid glycoside from the fruit of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis used as a Chinese traditional medicine for treatment of vitiligo vulgaris. Interaction of c-kit receptor with its ligand-SCF potent enhances the melanocytic melanogenesis, which can be repressed by norepinephrine (NE). To discover economic and efficient drug against vitiligo vulgaris, this paper addresses the action and mechanism of GP abrogating the NE-induced hypopigmentation in melanocyte.
