Objective: This scoping review aims to map the strategies used during the communication of bad news to families of unexpected and sudden death victims from the perspective of those receiving the news.
Introduction: The strategies used in communicating a person's death to their family, especially in unexpected and sudden situations, can have a profound impact on the grief management process. This communication is often carried out by a health professional (doctor, nurse, or paramedic), but may also be carried out by a police officer, depending on the context in which the situation has occurred (in or out of hospital).
Aim: The aim of this study is to understand the significance of a disaster-related competence framework for Portuguese general nurses and identify from ICN - Core Competencies in Disaster Nursing version 2.0 core competencies description, those that are considered crucial for a competent preparedness and response in disaster scenarios.
Background: Research suggests that the occurrence of disasters will be more recurrent, requiring that nurses, pillars of any health system, have knowledge, skills and preparedness to face these events.
Objective: To understand whether, from the perspective of coordinators/directors of nursing courses and nurses with skills in the field of disasters, nursing students have the necessary cognitive maturity to articulate the various dimensions inherent to the area of disasters, allowing efficient performance.
Method: A study with a qualitative methodological approach, based on inductive reasoning and rigorous phenomenon description, based on exploratory research.
Results: Given the specificity and complexity of these phenomena, the inclusion of the disaster domain in the teaching-learning process, supporting valid knowledge construction and allowing the development and maturity of nursing students' cognitive processes, is crucial.
Objective: to develop and analyze evidence of content validity of educational videos about bathing newborns in bed in a neonatal unit.
Method: applied and methodological research, carried out from December/2020 to February/2022, in three phases: pre-production, production, post-production. Validity was carried out by nurses specializing in social communication and nursing professionals, including the Brazilian Sign Language and assessment by nursing students.
Objectives: to identify the effect on satisfaction and self-confidence of undergraduate nursing students after using a validated bed bath video during the simulation.
Methods: blinded parallel randomized clinical trial. Participants were allocated to the control group (simulation with tutor) or intervention (simulation with video).

Method: the video was based on the literature and presents the definition of bed bath, indications for its performance, steps to perform it, and potential complications. Nursing professors and nurses validated it.
Objective: to develop and validate with a panel of experts a scenario of maternal-child clinical simulation, related to humanized childbirth and birth.
Method: methodological study based on the Jeffries framework and standardized guides of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation in Learning, which used analysis with descriptive statistics for general aspects of adherence to the aforementioned guide and inferential statistics for validating the checklist of actions through the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC).
Results: the scenario contains learning objectives, necessary resources, prebriefing and debriefing of guidelines, description of the simulated situation, participants and roles, and checklist of expected actions.
Background: Studies have shown the efficacy of videos used in isolation to retain knowledge, acquire skills, and establish students' self-confidence. A few studies have investigated the efficacy of videos associated with simulations, while none of these studies have addressed bed bathing, one of the first procedures learned by nursing students.
Objective: To test the efficacy of a video-assisted bed bath simulation on improving the performance of psychomotor skills of undergraduate nursing students.
Objective: To develop a theoretical-practical script based on the opinion of experts to be used in simulated clinical activities.
Method: Qualitative study through analysis of content of interviews with experts on the theme in order to develop the proposed script. Of the 24 invited experts, 12 specialists from educational institutions in Brazil and abroad participated in the study in compliance with the ethical precepts.
Distance education has turned into an important tool for nursing education. The virtual learning environments contribute toward an interactive and attractive educational process. In this study, we assess the usability of a virtual learning environment that was developed to teach nursing students how to care for patients with urinary retention.

Material And Methods: Methodological translation and validation study of a research tool. After following all steps of the translation process, for the validation process, the event III Workshop Brazil - Portugal: Care Delivery to Critical Patients was created, promoted by one Brazilian and another Portuguese teaching institution.
Objective: Validate an assessment instrument of nursing students' satisfaction with simulated clinical experiences.
Method: A 17-item scale was applied to students from the Teaching Diploma Program in Nursing, after a set of simulated clinical experiences. Factorial analysis with orthogonal varimax rotation was used, and the internal consistency was estimated to determine the validity of the scale.
Objective: develop the cultural adaptation and validation of a Portuguese version of the Self-confidence Scale.
Method: descriptive and exploratory methodological research for the adaptation and validation of a measuring instrument. The translation, synthesis, back-translation, revision, pretest and semantic evaluation phases were accomplished.
