Objective: Lipohypertrophy (LH) is a localized complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients on long-term insulin therapy. Sound touch elastography (STE) is a crucial tool in the quantitative real-time assessment of tissue hardness within specific target regions. This study aims to explore the efficacy of STE in evaluating the hardness of subcutaneous LH at insulin injection sites in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus and investigate the correlations between the hardness of LH lesions and various clinical indicators.

Methods: A total of 131 HCC patients who underwent ultrasound-guided MWA from March 2017 to March 2019 were included. Following ultrasound examination, patients with tumors at difficult locations were treated with hydrodissection-assisted MWA (hydrodissection group), while those with tumors at conventional locations received MWA (control group).
Objective: To investigate the predictive value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) combined with serum miR-124 level in acute cerebral infarction (ACI) and their association with the contrast enhancement of carotid atherosclerotic plaque.
Methods: Totally 60 patients diagnosed with ACI and 60 controls were included in the study. All the subjects had carotid atherosclerotic plaques, and all of them were examined by CEUS and were tested for serum miR-124 levels.
Objective: To compare and analyze the diagnosis value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) after treating advanced renal cancer patients with Yiqi Jiedu decoction.
Methods: The case data of 60 patients diagnosed with advanced renal cancer from January 2013 to January 2021 at the Affiliated People's Hospital of Ningbo University were retrospectively analyzed, 30 patients who accepted the conventional treatment were included in the control group, and the rest treated with Yiqi Jiedu decoction on the basis of conventional treatment were included in the study group. After treatment, patients in both groups received the CEUS and CECT examinations, the diagnosis efficacy of both examinations was evaluated with the ROC curve, and the overall survival (OS) of patients was analyzed.
Background: Focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH) has very low potential risk, and a tendency to spontaneously resolve. Hepatocellular adenoma (HCA) has a certain malignant tendency, and its prognosis is significantly different from FNH. Accurate identification of HCA and FNH is critical for clinical treatment.

Patients And Methods: Two thousand two hundred seventy-three women consented to be prospectively enrolled for the characterization of breast masses with ultrasound and SWE. Breast masses were known from symptoms, palpability, and/or previous imaging screening with mammography and/or ultrasound.
Large-scale simulations by the authors of the kinetic-hydrodynamic equations for active polar nematics revealed a variety of spatio-temporal attractors, including steady and unsteady, banded (1d) and cellular (2d) spatial patterns. These particle scale activation-induced attractors arise at dilute nanorod volume fractions where the passive equilibrium phase is isotropic, whereas all previous model simulations have focused on the semi-dilute, nematic equilibrium regime and mostly on low-moment orientation tensor and polarity vector models. Here we extend our previous results to complete attractor phase diagrams for active nematics, with and without an explicit polar potential, to map out novel spatial and dynamic transitions, and to identify some new attractors, over the parameter space of dilute nanorod volume fraction and nanorod activation strength.

Chaotic orientational dynamics of sheared nematic polymers is documented in laboratory experiments and predicted by Doi-Hess kinetic theory for infinitely thin rods. We address robustness of rheochaos when simple shear is modified by a planar straining flow, and the macromolecules have finite aspect ratio. We predict persistence of sheared chaotic response up to a threshold straining flow strength and minimum aspect ratio, beyond which chaotic behavior is arrested.

The Doi theory has successfully modeled the monodomain shear flow problem for rigid, rodlike nematic polymers. Numerical simulations of the Smoluchowski equation for the orientational probability distribution function (PDF) predict monodomain attractors in regions of nematic concentration N and shear rate gamma. Theoretical work has focused on approximate constructions of PDF solutions in linear flow regimes.
