The resulting fibrous networks are thermally treated on glass in order to create transparent coatings whose superficial morphology recalls the organization of the initial electrospun mats. We report a simple and inexpensive method of fabricating highly hydrophobic novel materials based on interpenetrating networks of polyamide and poly(ethyl cyanoacrylate) hydrophilic components. The process is a single-step solution casting from a common solvent, formic acid, of polyamide and ethyl cyanoacrylate monomers. After casting and subsequent solvent evaporation, the in situ polymerization of ethyl cyanoacrylate monomer forms polyamide-poly(ethyl cyanoacrylate) interpenetrating network films.

In the present study, we demonstrate, for the first time, that PEO can solvate silver triflate organic salts in large quantities when formic acid is used as a common solvent for both. Nanocomposites with unique structural and electrical properties are fabricated by simply drop casting formic acid solutions of PEO and silver triflate salts.

Bonding-agent free composites with particles of ball-milled glass, silica and titania at loading of 10 and 50%wt were prepared, and their viscoelastic properties investigated by dynamic mechanical analysis, in experimental conditions close to the working environment in the mouth. All composites showed good stability at the considered conditions.

SPECT findings were negative in all 10 patients with CM, in 3 cases of CLM and in 2 cases of HM. Positive findings in the remaining 4 patients (3 cases of CLM and 1 of HM) showed a decreased tracer distribution in the temporo-occipital regions (2 cases) and parietal regions (2 cases): the two with decreased temporo-occipital perfusion reported prodromal symptoms exclusively contralateral to the areas of hypoperfusion.

Comparisons were made with a group of healthy volunteer controls, 12 children and 15 adults, not suffering from headache. In Group A, only the CLM patients had significant mydriasis after phenylephrine; pupillary responses in the TH and CM cases did not differ significantly from the healthy controls, although there was an evident tendency for increased response in the CM by comparison with the TH cases.
