The pollution potential of a municipal wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Bursa, Türkiye, in terms of organochlorine pesticides (ΣOCPs), polychlorinated biphenyls (ΣPCBs), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (ΣPBDEs), was investigated in air samples. Concentrations were determined using polyurethane foam disk samplers at key processes, such as the aeration tank (AT) and settling chamber (SC) of the WWTP and the background area (BA) at an urban site. Atmospheric concentration levels of PBDEs at the SC are 1.

One of the long-standing goals in this field is to achieve optical control over topological properties. However, the impact on their electronic structures, which host gapless surface states, has yet to be directly observed.

Therefore, it can be used in dryness-related hyperexcitability of corneal cold receptor nerve terminals. Ocular in-situ gels remain in liquid form until they reach the target site, where they undergo a sol-gel transformation in response to specific stimuli.

However, in most cases, the photoinduced phases return to equilibrium on ultrafast timescales after the light is turned off, limiting their practical applications. Here we use intense terahertz pulses to induce a metastable magnetization with a remarkably long lifetime of more than 2.

Despite a growing body of literature addressing the analytical requirements of airborne MNPs, the issue of inhalable fractions and analysis of slotted substrates remains unclear. Therefore, the objective of this study is to perform a systematic particle-based analysis and characterization of inhalable microplastics (MPs) collected by a high-volume sampler equipped with a five-stage cascade impactor with a size range of 10 μm to <0.

The study follows the ARRIVE guidelines to ensure robust and transparent research. In our study, there were 6 groups, including one SHAM group, one CONTROL group, and four experimental groups, with 8 rats in each individual group.

Tau-fluvalinate is a type 2 pyrethroid insecticide. Diosmin and chrysin are flavonoids with antioxidant and anti-apoptotic effects. Role of diosmin and chrysin against infavorable toxic effects caused by tau-fluvalinate and the underlying mechanisms of these effects were investigated.

The Peltier coefficient, crucial for thermal management, was directly calculated, highlighting reversible heat transport effects in the cell. While data for 8YSZ are available in the literature, providing a basis for comparison, the results for 10Sc1CeSZ show slightly smaller Seebeck coefficients but higher transported ion entropies.

Computed tomography data were translated into STL format, generating two skull models. Subperiosteal implants were constructed on these models and placed accordingly.

It has significant implications for the development of future ultrafast electronic devices. However, the ability to induce long-lasting metastable electronic states in a fully reversible manner is a long-standing challenge.

The talar dome is supplied by the posterior tibial artery (PTA) and, to a lesser degree, the sinus tarsi artery (STA). The role of talar dome hypovascularity on OLT remains poorly studied.

The term "dyskinesia" has often been used interchangeably with "winging," leading to ambiguity in the literature. To address this, the broader term "scapulothoracic abnormal motion (STAM)" was introduced to describe any abnormal position or movement of the scapula on the chest, resulting in pain and dysfunction. Scapulothoracic abnormal motion has a wide range of causes, including musculoskeletal imbalances such as pectoralis minor hyperactivity, neurological impairments such as long thoracic nerve palsy, and genetic conditions like facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD).

In this study, we aimed to identify the retinal vascular pathologies in BD patients by optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) imaging.
Methods: Retinal vascular analysis from 35 BD patients and 30 healthy controls (HCs) were scanned using the OCTA machine.
With global plastic production reaching 400 million tons in 2022, concerns about plastic pollution in the seas are increasing day by day. Therefore we focused on the abundance, characteristics, and chemical composition of potential anthropogenic origin MPs within the gastrointestinal tracts (GITs) of 11 commercial fish species in the Gulf of İzmir, an area heavily impacted by human activities. Within the scope of the study, 152 fish were sampled, and microplastics were found in 64 fish.

It was proposed as a strong spin-orbit-coupled = 1/2 Mott insulator, but the Mott nature of its insulating ground state has not been conclusively established. Here, we use ultrafast laser pulses to realize an insulator-metal transition in SrIrO and probe the resulting dynamics using time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy.
