Endocrine therapy has become the fundamental treatment option for hormone receptor-positive (HR) and receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2-negative (HER2) metastatic breast cancer (mBC). While treatments incorporating cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK)4 and 6 inhibitors are more prevalent than ever, comparisons among those regimens are scarce. The aim of the present study was to identify the most effective maintenance treatment for patients with HR and HER2 mBC.

Objective: The ideal management of early-stage cervical cancer has become the subject of a global controversy following the publication of a prospective study in 2018 that reported a worse oncologic outcome when comparing the minimally invasive approach to the laparotomy approach. The discussion involves both prospective and retrospective data and general and theoretical considerations. We wanted to look at the data available today and review the different opinions, offering an impartial assessment of the ongoing controversy.

To Laparoscopically Preserve Fertility in Intraabdominal Giant Myoma with Application of Contained In-Bag Morcellation: Mission Impossible?

A technical video was produced to demonstrate in step-by-step fashion a multiple contained myomectomy of a 20 × 30 cm giant myoma and seven additional fibroids found in the same patient, which required two different types of specimen retrieval bags for the electronic power morcellation. This complete surgical procedure included leiomyomata enucleation, contained in-bag electronic power morcellation, uterine reconstruction and the application of an adhesion prophylactic medical product.

It is expected that they will increasingly express a multimodal relationship with gynecologic laparoscopy. Laparoscopy is, now, a standard procedure in operative gynecology, standards are embedded in many laparoscopic procedures, standardization of the skills/competency assessment has been progressively developed, and the proof of competency in laparoscopy may become a standard of care.

PSRR: A Web Server for Predicting the Regulation of miRNAs Expression by Small Molecules.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play key roles in a variety of pathological processes by interacting with their specific target mRNAs for translation repression and may function as oncogenes (oncomiRs) or tumor suppressors (TSmiRs). Therefore, a web server that could predict the regulation relations between miRNAs and small molecules is expected to achieve implications for identifying potential therapeutic targets for anti-tumor drug development. Upon obtaining positive/known small molecule-miRNA regulation pairs from SM2miR, we generated a multitude of high-quality negative/unknown pairs by leveraging similarities between the small molecule structures.
