Anti-vascular endothelial growth factor in the treatment of macular edema in epidemic retinitis.

Purpose: To study efficacy of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) in resolution of macular edema in epidemic retinitis (ER).

Methods: In this retrospective, comparative study, patients diagnosed as ER with central macular thickness (CMT) ≥ 600 μm on SD-OCT at presentation were studied. Eyes which did not receive intravitreal anti-VEGF formed group A and eyes receiving additional anti-VEGF formed group B.

Morphometric analysis of retinal arterioles in control and hypertensive population using adaptive optics imaging.

Purpose: To measure the wall-to-lumen ratio (WLR) and the vascular wall cross-sectional area (WCSA) of retinal arterioles by an Adaptive Optics (AO) retinal camera using semi-automated software and comparing them between control and hypertensive population.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional observational study including a hypertensive group and a control group. Subjects were examined and their medical history recorded.

We present a case of a 37-year-old gentleman with a rare diagnosis of Torpedo maculopathy (TM). We describe the multimodal imaging features of torpedo maculopathy using adaptive optics, visual fields, OCT and multifocal ERG, and understand the clinical and structural-functional correlation in TM. According to us, this is the first case report to describe the adaptive optics imaging findings in Torpedo maculopathy in English Medical literature.

Multimodal imaging in retinoschisis.

Retinoschisis is characterized by abnormal splitting of neurosensory retina. We demonstrate imaging of retinoschisis with multiple modalities.

Active Cone Regeneration Following Autologous Internal Limiting Membrane 'Chunk' Transplantation in Optic Disc Pit-Associated Maculopathy.

This case report aims to study active cone regeneration and its functional correlation in optic disc pit maculopathy (ODPM) with a large outer macular defect treated with autologous internal limiting membrane (ILM) "chunk" transplantation. Outcome analysis was done using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), adaptive optics, and microperimetry. Visual acuity improved from counting fingers at 2 meters to 6/18 Snellen equivalent postoperatively, whereas SD-OCT demonstrated closure of outer subfoveal defect.

Introduction: Spontaneous dislocation of intraocular lens with bag is rare.

Methods: We report a case of a 56-year-old male who presented with spontaneous anterior dislocation of an in-the-bag intraocular lens 3 years after manual small incision cataract surgery. He had undergone manual small incision cataract surgery with foldable acrylic intraocular lens implantation, and 18 months after cataract surgery ND: YAG capsulotomy with uneventful post capsulotomy follow-up.
