This work presents a novel approach for investigating symmetry-breaking processes during crystallization using Mueller matrix polarimetry. By applying this method to the cooling process of NaClO solutions, we demonstrate its ability to capture not only the initial and final stages of crystallization but also the intermediate steps and dynamics of the process. This technique provides more comprehensive information and insights into the symmetry-breaking mechanisms involved in crystal formation.

Methods: In a randomized open clinical trial conducted in a tertiary health center in India between September 2008 and April 2010, 150 women with severe pre-eclampsia who received intrapartum MgSO(4) and delivered at more than 2 weeks gestation were enrolled. After 6hours postpartum, the participants were randomized to continue receiving (control group) or to discontinue (intervention group) MgSO(4), and outcomes were compared.
Introduction: Platelet activation needs a high energy demand which is supplied by the degradation of glucose into lactate. Platelet response to agonists in patients with primary thrombocythemia is defective. We studied the production of lactate by the platelets of patients with this disease and defective platelet aggregation.
