Objectives: To determine the protective effect of Apelin-13 on cardiac hypertrophy through activating the PI3K-AKT-mTOR signaling pathway.
Materials And Methods: The phenylephrine-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy model was established in H9C2 cells . Electroporation transfection technology was utilized to prepare and screen the H9C2 cells inducing low expression of the angiotensin type one receptor-related protein (Si-APJ).
Purpose: To investigate the changes in thromboelastography (TEG) in patients with dyslipidemia to study its effect on the blood coagulation status.
Methods: 131 patients hospitalized in Fujian Provincial Jinshan Hospital from January 2018 to December 2020 were selected, and 64 cases in the hyperlipidemia (HL) group and 67 cases in the non-HL group were set according to whether their blood lipids were abnormal. By measuring the changes of each parameter of TEG in patients, the relevant parameters value, value, angle, and MA value were calculated.
Objective: Ribonucleotide reductase M2 (RRM2) as an enzyme that catalyzes the deoxyreduction of nucleosides to deoxyribonucleoside triphosphate (dNTP) has been extensively studied, and it plays a crucial role in regulating cell proliferation. However, its role in ischemia-reperfusion injury (I/RI) is still unclear.
Methods: SD rats were used as the research object to detect the expression of RRM2 in the myocardium by constructing an I/RI model.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the association of pre-procedural N-terminal pro-B type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) with contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CI-AKI) and long-term outcomes in elderly patients undergoing elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).A total of 540 patients aged ≥ 75 years who had undergone elective PCI between January 2012 and December 2015 were enrolled in this study. Admission NT-proBNP levels were measured before PCI.

Patients (n = 558) with ACS who underwent emergency PCI were consecutively enrolled. Preprocedural hyperglycemia was defined as glucose levels >198 mg/dL (11 mmol/L).

Objective: Previous studies have found that impairment of the circadian clock appears to contribute to the development of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and the circulating follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) level showed a diurnal cycle. A recent study reported that a lower FSH level was associated with NAFLD. However, the effects of the diurnal rhythm of FSH on NAFLD have not been reported.

Objective: Tissue kallikrein cleaves kininogen substrate to produce vasoactive kinin peptides that have been implicated in the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells. We investigated the effects of adenovirus-mediated human tissue kallikrein (Ad-hKLK1) gene delivery on the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells of SHR (VSMCs(SHR)) induced by platelet derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB).
Methods: Primary VSMCs(SHR) were isolated and cultured from thoracic aorta of male SHR.
