Objectives: Systemic vasculitis patients are at a higher risk of developing latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI). However, there is currently no literature elucidating the positivity rate and risk factors for LTBI in systemic vasculitis patients.
Methods: Our study is a multi-center, cross-sectional study that enrolled systemic vasculitis patients from 13 comprehensive hospitals in China.

Patients And Methods: In the cohort study, 540 patients were included to explore the prognostic value of serum IL-6 levels in cancer.
Objective: To investigate the similarities and differences of clinical manifestations and long-term prognosis between eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EGE) and eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) complicating GI involvement (EGPA-GI).
Methods: Sixty-two EGE and 30 EGPA-GI patients were retrospectively enrolled in PUMCH from 2008 to 2023. Baseline clinical records were collected.

Previous studies have confirmed that burns and scalds can lead to metabolic disorders in the liver. However, the effects of severe burns at various time points on liver lipid metabolism disorders, as well as the relationship between these disorders and liver function, metabolism, and infection, have not yet been investigated. This study established a SD rat scald model, macroscopic observation of weight changes, histological staining, Western blot detection of fat browning and metabolic indicators, reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis of the expression of liver new fat generation genes, determination of liver function and inflammatory indicators.

Mitochondrial injury is a key mechanism regulating both aging and inflammation. This study aims to reveal the role of mitochondrial damage in the pathogenesis of adult- and elderly-onset UC.

OA patients frequently exhibit vitamin D (VD) deficiency, which is commonly associated with NF-κB activation. Our study aimed to investigate whether VD could protect against OA by modulating NF-κB pathway and to explore the underlying mechanisms.

Objective: To evaluate the gene mutation profile and prognostic significance of adult cytogenetically normal acute myeloid leukemia (CN-AML) with mutation.
Methods: Targeted sequencing was implemented on the diagnostic bone marrow DNA samples of 141 adult CN-AML subjects with mutation. The nomogram model for leukemia-free survival (LFS) rate was generated by combining genetic abnormalities and clinical data.
Polymeric high internal phase emulsions decorated with covalent organic frameworks (polyHIPEs-COFs) were synthesized and used as the sorbent for cyantraniliprole and chlorantraniliprole. Pickering high internal phase emulsions stabilized by covalent organic frameworks solid particles and liquid surfactants (Span80 and polyvinylpyrrolidone) endow the composites with open-cell structures and superwettability. The amphiphilicity and open-cell structures enable rapid adsorption and desorption for cyantraniliprole and chlorantraniliprole, and the solid-phase extraction process can be completed in 5 min.

Methods: Inpatients admitted to Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 1, 1998 to December 31, 2021 were included. Odds ratio (OR) and the corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated to compare the risk of AIH, PBC, and PSC between IBD and non-IBD patients.
Background And Aim: Functional gastrointestinal disorders such as chronic constipation (CC) and chronic diarrhea (CD) impose a significant burden on global healthcare resources. Food insecurity, a crucial social determinant of health, remains unclearly associated with CC and CD. We aim to explore the association between food insecurity and CC and CD, and its impact on all-cause mortality among participants with abnormal bowel health.

Materials And Methods: Newly diagnosed and nonmetastatic adult patients with OTSCC who underwent curative resection were identified between January 2010 and December 2020. External validation was performed via the SEER registry.
Background: Cronkhite-Canada syndrome (CCS) is a rare non-hereditary chronic inflammatory disease characteristic of gastrointestinal polyps and ectodermal abnormalities. Corticosteroid therapy is the mainstay medication for CCS. Few studies indicated immunosuppressants might be the choices for patients with steroid refractory, steroid dependent or intolerant.

Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the potential clinical value of the C-reactive protein-triglyceride-glucose index (CTI) in relation to SI and IR in patients with GI cancer.
Methods: This prospective cohort study included patients with GI cancer.

Drinking water is an essential daily intake to hydrate the body. It is conceivable that water, when endowed with antioxidant properties, will be the most natural radical terminator surpassing conventional pill-based or food-derived antioxidants. However, current end-of-pipe purification of municipal water generally depletes minerals pivotal for antioxidant potency.

Our findings revealed the significant impacts of altitude and season on the number of cameras and monitoring duration required in camera trap surveys. The optimal strategy for monitoring mammals is to increase the number of cameras and decrease the sampling period at lower elevations, to add more cameras and extend the sampling time during the dry season due to seasonal differences in capture ratio and species richness.

Methods: This study identified 821 patients in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. All patients were randomly divided in a ratio of 7:3 into a training cohort (n = 574) and a validation cohort (n = 247).
Background: Circulating proteins in blood are involved in various physiological processes, but their contributions to blood pressure regulation remain partially understood. In traditional observational studies, identifying circulating proteins causally associated with blood pressure is challenging because of potentially unmeasured confounding and possible reverse causality.
Methods: Two-sample Mendelian randomization analyses were conducted to estimate the causal effects of 2270 circulating proteins (data sourced from 8 genome-wide association studies) on diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure, and pulse pressure.
Herpes simples virus 1 (HSV-1) keratitis is a major cause of blindness globally. During primary infection, HSV-1 travels to the trigeminal ganglia and establishes lifelong latency. Although some treatments can reduce symptom severity and recurrence, there is no cure for HSV-1 keratitis.

Methods: A post-hoc analysis was performed based on data from the VIDEO study, a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial aimed at assessing the impact of vitamin D supplementation on patients with knee OA who were also vitamin D deficient. The original trial's design and inclusion and exclusion criteria were integrated into this subsequent post-hoc analysis.
In this study, 4-vinylphenylboronic acid, ionic liquid, and dipentaerythritolhexakis(3-mercaptopropionate) were used as functional monomers to prepare monolithic column in fused-silica capillaries by thermally induced sulfhydryl-alkenyl click polymerization. Based on the properties of 4-vinylphenylboronic acid and ionic liquid, the monolithic capillary column (VPBA-SH-IL) exhibited excellent permeability and chemical stability with the ability to efficiently enrich trace amounts of cytokinins from complex substrates via B←N coordination, π-π interactions, cation-π interactions, S-π interactions and hydrophobic interactions. Under the optimal adsorption conditions, the adsorption efficiency of VPBA-SH-IL for six cytokinins could reach more than 95 %, and the adsorption capacities ranged from 0.
