Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to assess the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients undergoing hemodialysis (HD) versus peritoneal dialysis (PD) in Taiwan.
  • A total of 1,167 patients from 14 hospitals participated, with HRQoL evaluated using the 36-item Short Form Health Survey Questionnaire, and results showed no significant differences in HRQoL between the two groups.
  • Findings indicate that both HD and PD patients in Taiwan experience similar quality of life, enhancing the understanding of HRQoL related to dialysis methods in this population.
