Background: The drastic shift from face-to-face classes to online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic has enabled educators to ensure the continuity of learning for health professions students in higher education. Collaborative learning, a pedagogy used to facilitate knowledge integration by helping students translate theory from basic sciences to clinical application and practice, has thus been transformed from a face-to-face to a virtual strategy to achieve the learning objectives of a multi-disciplinary and integrated module.
Objectives: This study aimed to describe and evaluate, through focus group discussions, a virtual collaborative learning activity implemented to assist first year undergraduate nursing students to develop cognitive integration in a module consisting of pathophysiology, pharmacology, and nursing practice.
1-Azulenylcarbene (; 0 kJ mol) is experimentally known as the key reactive intermediate for the rearrangement reactions of aryl carbenes in the laboratory. Here, using coupled-cluster methods up to the fc-CCSD(T)/cc-pVTZ//fc-CCSD(T)/cc-pVDZ level, thirteen new carbenes and one new cyclic allene are theoretically identified within the CH elemental composition that either energetically lie below or very close to . While the cyclic allene, bicyclo[5.

With the ultimate goal of estimating arterial viscoelasticity using shear wave elastography, this paper presents a practical methodology to simulate the response of a human carotid artery under acoustic radiation force (ARF). The artery is idealized as a nearly incompressible viscoelastic hollow cylinder submerged in incompressible, inviscid fluid. For this idealization, we develop a multi-step methodology for efficient computation of three-dimensional response under complex ARF excitation, while capturing the fluid-structure interaction between the arterial wall and the surrounding fluid.

The data sample consists of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, collected with the CMS detector at the LHC, and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb^{-1}. No deviation from the background-only hypothesis is observed.

The analysis is based on data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137 fb^{-1}. No significant excess above the background prediction is observed.

For the first time, a four-particle cumulant method is used to extract the second Fourier coefficient of the azimuthal distribution (v_{2}) of D^{0} mesons as a function of event centrality and the D^{0} transverse momentum.

The data analyzed correspond to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb^{-1} recorded in proton-proton collisions with the CMS detector at sqrt[s]=13 TeV. One isolated charged lepton is required, together with missing transverse momentum and one or two massive large-radius jets, containing the decay products of either two or one W bosons, respectively.

Here we demonstrate that the same holds for internal electric fields in a molecular cluster. The electric field of a single molecular dipole, HCl, is used to manipulate the aggregation mechanism of subsequently added acetonitrile molecules.

It is one of the leading causes of temporary as well as permanent disabilities in patients. Burn injuries are accompanied by pain that persists even after recovery from tissue damage which puts immense pressure on the healthcare system.

In recent years, immunotherapy has become an increasingly attractive area of interest in the treatment of NSCLC, especially those in advanced stages. Cytokine and immune checkpoint inhibitors are among the most studied immunotherapies for many cancer types.

Purpose: For patients with advanced HCC, predictors of immunotherapy response are scarce, and the benefits of tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment after immunotherapy are unclear. We explored whether clinical features, such as target lesion response, immune-mediated toxicity, or subsequent TKI therapy predict immunotherapy response.
Methods: We retrospectively studied 77 patients with advanced HCC receiving immunotherapy.
Advances in medical imaging have redefined the practice of vascular surgery. Current training programs for vascular surgery do not incorporate formal training in vascular imaging other than in duplex ultrasound when a physician is undergoing the vascular interpretation certification process. Yet imaging modalities and techniques have grown exponentially in the adjacent fields of interventional radiology, interventional and diagnostic cardiology, and neuroradiology, so much so that advanced imaging fellowships have been established in these fields.

We compared the sensitivity for finding lung cancer cases eligible for lung cancer screening (LCS) by USPSTF 2013 recommendations versus the PLCOm2012 model at an equivalent threshold.
Methods: Using Georgetown University Hospital tumor registry, we identified lung cancer cases (≥55 years old) between 2014 and 2018.
Cell proliferation often experiences a density-dependent intrinsic proliferation rate (IPR) and negative feedback from growth-inhibiting molecules in culture media. The lack of flexible models with explanatory parameters fails to capture such a proliferation mechanism. We propose an extended logistic growth law with the density-dependent IPR and additional negative feedback.
