Crystal structure of 2-(2,6-diiso-propyl-phen-yl)-,-diethyl-3,3-dimethyl-2-aza-spiro-[4.5]decan-1-amine: a di-ethyl-amine adduct of a cyclic(alk-yl)(amino)-carbene (CAAC).

The structure of the title compound, CHN, at 93 K has monoclinic (2/) symmetry. The title compound was prepared by treatment of 2-(2,6-diiso-propyl-phenyl)-3,3-dimethyl-2-aza-spiro-[4.5]dec-1-en-2-ium hydrogen dichloride with two equivalents of lithium di-ethyl-amide.
