Epileptiform syndromes are represented by a variety of clinical scenarios. In this context, dacrystic seizures (DS) are characterized by paroxysmal episodes of stereotyped crying and are considered a rare ictal phenomenon. Their neuroanatomical and pathophysiological findings tend to be nonspecific, and to date, there is no consensus on their treatment.
