Graphite is a commonly used raw material across many industries and the demand for high-quality graphite has been increasing in recent years, especially as a primary component for lithium-ion batteries. As climate change intensifies, future floods will become more severe in some areas with geographic variation, necessitating that local and regional governments implement systems to provide information for climate adaptation, particularly for vulnerable populations. Therefore, we aimed to develop a methodology to identify areas that are at an increased risk from future floods and independently socially vulnerable. In this study, 100-year recurrence interval flood extents and depths were estimated using an ensemble of six independent Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 climate models for a past and future period under the highest-emissions climate scenario.

Purpose: To describe the development and integration of an electronic health record-driven, student dashboard that displays real-time data relative to the students' patient management and clinic experiences at the University of Illinois Chicago, College of Dentistry.

The mirror suspensions in gravitational wave detectors demand low mechanical loss jointing to ensure good enough detector performance and to enable the detection of gravitational waves. Hydroxide catalysis bonds have been used in the fused silica suspensions of the GEO600, Advanced LIGO, and Advanced Virgo detectors. The self-assembly of thin films of block copolymers (BCPs) with perpendicular domain orientation offers a promising approach for nanopatterning on a variety of substrates, which is required by advanced applications such as ultrasmall transistors in integrated circuits, nanopatterned materials for tissue engineering, and electrocatalysts for fuel cell applications. In this study, we created BCPs with an A--(B--C) architecture that have blocks with equal surface energy () and that can bind to the substrate, effectively creating a non-preferential substrate coating self-brushing that enables the formation of through-film perpendicular domains in thin films of BCPs. We employed a thiol-epoxy click reaction to functionalize polystyrene--poly(glycidyl methacrylate) with a pair of thiols to generate an A--(B--C) BCP and tune of the B--C block.

Objectives: While factors contributing to dental antibiotic overprescribing have previously been described, previous work has lacked any theoretical behavior change framework that could guide future intervention development.
