Three classes of viral transcripts (18S, 24S, and 33S) were isolated from viral ribonucleoproteins in Sendai virus-infected cells. Hybridization studies with virion minus strand genome RNA demonstrated that the 18S RNA contained transcripts from 60% of the viral genome while the 33S RNA contained transcripts from the entire viral genome. Brief heat of ME2SO treatment of the 33S RNA demonstrated that this RNA was composed of two classes: RNA which continued to sediment at 33S (33S RNA) and 18S RNA aggregates (18S RNA).

The practise of repeated doping of the sport horse led us to examine its effects on the health of the animal, and particularly on muscular activity. The main doping agent used at present (acepromazine) has already been studied (COURTOT et al., 1974).

Doping with tranquilizers has appeared recently in horse-back riding sports. In this paper we study the effects of acepromazine, one of the main tranquilizers used, on various physiological and biochemical aspects of muscular activity (cardiac and respiratory rhythms, seric rates of glucose, urea, protein, creatine phosphokinase, glutamate oxalacetate transaminase, alkaline phosphatase). A low dose (0.

A protein kinase activity has been found associated with purified Sendai virions. Most of the virion proteins and exogenous protamine served as substrates for this enzyme.
