The aim of this systematic review is to explore the psychosocial well-being of long-distance seafarers on board shipping vessels to gain an understanding of their psychological and social well-being with the objective of ameliorating the adversities associated with these travels. A systematic review will be conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (2020) statement.

Protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analysis holds significant promise for cancer diagnosis and drug target identification. This paper introduces a novel random walk-based method called essential cancer protein identification using graph-based random walk with restart (EPI-GBRWR) to address this gap. This proposed method incorporates local and global topological features of proteins, enhancing the accuracy of essential protein identification in PPI networks.

It is thought to consume up to 50 % of our waking lives and has several negative implications. Breath-counting is one task that has been utilised in conjunction with electroencephalography (EEG) to examine the brain states associated with mind-wandering.

Poly(Vinyl Alcohol)/Gellan-gum-based innovative composite film has been prepared using nanocrystalline cellulose (PVA/GG/NCC) as a strengthening agent for ocular delivery of moxifloxacin (MOX) via solvent casting method. Impedance analysis was studied using the capacitive sensing technique for examining new capacitance nature of the nanocomposite MOX film.

Highlights: Adhering to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes (PRISMA) guidelines, RCTs that assessed the efficacious remineralizing potential of CaSP on WSLs and demineralized enamel and compared it with either no intervention or other remineralizing agents wereselected. The methodological rigor of the included studies was subjected to the Risk of Bias tool-2 (ROB-2) and Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) tools.
Aim: The main objective of this systematic review is to comprehensively evaluate all the relevant studies to evaluate the effectiveness of electrical stimulation to accelerate orthodontic tooth movement in human patients.
Methods: Using a suitable search strategy, various databases like PubMed, CENTRAL, Scopus and Google Scholar were surveyed for relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs); after which a hand search of related orthodontic journals was completed. The risk of bias of studies was checked using Cochrane's ROB-2 tool.
This study demonstrates a cost-effective, thin, multifunctional composite coating system with outstanding thermal insulation for thermal management and heat shield applications, such as roofs, as well as outstanding resistance to corrosion. The hydrophobic multifunctional epoxy composite coating systems were designed with surface-modified fillers to impart both reduced heat conduction and high infrared reflectance in a thin coating with a 65-100 μm dry film thickness (DFT). With a judicial combination of hollow microspheres (HMS) activated and modified with silica (sHMS) and stearic acid-modified TiO (sMO), the developed composite coating attained the highest thermal insulation property with a temperature drop of 21-31 °C at different distances below the coated panel, which is superior to the values of temperature drop reported earlier.

The LBT nanoparticles used in this study are prepared through a high-temperature solid-state reaction. It is observed that LBT (X = Mg/Ca) nanoparticles are spherical in nature, with particle size ∼20 nm, as observed from the HRTEM images, whereas LBT (X = Sr) nanoparticles are cubical in nature with particle size ≥100 nm.

Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2/neu (HER2/neu) is known to serve as a prognostic and predictive biomarker in several cancers such as breast, gastric and ovarian cancers. In head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, HER2/neu expression is seen but in a fluctuated manner. Hence, its role as a prognostic factor in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) needs evaluation.

This study aimed to identify natural alpha and theta frequency components during eyes-closed resting and concentrative meditation states and examined their differences within and between two testing sessions. Novice meditators had their EEG recorded during eyes-closed resting and concentrative meditation conditions, before and after engaging in a brief daily concentrative meditation practice for approximately one-month.

Dust samples were collected from sign boards of the heavy traffic road connecting Dhanbad and Sindri. The total PAHs (∑PAHs, all values in mg/kg) content in the road dust samples varied from 3.

However, interactions with surrounding medium or supporting substrates can significantly influence this activity. Here, it is shown that superior antimicrobial properties of natural shellac-derived graphene oxide (GO) coatings is obtained on metallic films, such as Zn, Ni, Sn, and steel.

Decision makers managing threatened or pest species are regularly faced with this uncertainty. Wildlife diseases can drive species to extinction; thus, managing species with disease is an important part of conservation.

Introduction: A schwannoma is a benign, slow growing, encapsulated nerve sheath tumour. Presentation of a schwannoma is a diagnostic and management challenge.
Methods: Internet searches of PubMed/MEDLINE(®) for all articles listing schwannomas of the vagus nerve in the cervical/neck region (1980-2012) were undertaken to ascertain diagnostic pitfalls.

Coal-fired thermal power stations (TPSs) may contaminate the surrounding soil and could lead to pollution levels that can affect human health. Soil samples collected from the immediate vicinity of a TPS were analysed for heavy metals. TPS soils were enriched with arsenic (As), strontium (Sr), copper (Cu), mercury (Hg), barium (Ba), vanadium (V), beryllium (Be), cadmium (Cd), cobalt (Co), chromium (Cr), and nickel (Ni).

While the debate over the wisdom of this strategy continues, such introductions are already taking place. Previous frameworks for analysing the decision to introduce have lacked a quantifiable management objective and mathematically rigorous problem formulation.
