The accurate measurement of spatiotemporal parameters, such as step length and step frequency, is crucial for analyzing running and sprinting performance. Traditional methods like video analysis and force platforms are either time consuming or limited in scope, prompting the need for more efficient technologies. This study evaluates the effectiveness of a commercial Global Positioning System (GPS) unit integrated with an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) in capturing these parameters during sprints at varying velocities.

Methods: Lateral projection radiographs of 50 tibias and 50 femurs (10 cats and 40 dogs per bone) were used to measure the minimum and maximum radius of curvature of an ILN compatible with each bone. These radii were defined by cranial and caudal endosteal points at the proximal entry point of the nail, at the isthmus, and at the most distal point of the ILN insertion into the femoral or tibial metaphysis.

Fatigue plays a critical role in sports science, significantly affecting recovery, training effectiveness, and overall athletic performance. Understanding and predicting fatigue is essential to optimize training, prevent overtraining, and minimize the risk of injuries. The aim of this study is to leverage Human Activity Recognition (HAR) through deep learning methods for dimensionality reduction.

A 7 yr old female French bulldog exhibited recurrent purulent vulvar discharge following an episode of pyometra treated by ovariohysterectomy. The diagnosis of ureteral duplication was established through a combination of ultrasonography, computed tomography scanning, and cystoscopy/vaginoscopy. Despite initial medical intervention, the dog's clinical condition did not improve.

(2) To measure treatment success, defined as avoidance of intubation/invasive mechanical ventilation, and determine if specific clinical variables could predict success/failure.
Study Design: Observational cohort with eligible infants given surfactant using one type of LMA via standardized protocol.

Introduction: Bilateral prosthetic hip or knee replacement in one surgical session is a procedure that has been widely validated in the literature, whereas hip and knee replacement in one surgical session remains poorly documented. This study reports on the results of these procedures by analyzing early post-operative complications in a retrospective multicenter study.
Material And Methods: Between 2009 and 2023, 51 patients underwent hip and knee replacement surgery in a single surgical session at 4 French centers.
A consanguineous couple was referred at 10 weeks of gestation (WG) for prenatal genetic investigations due to isolated cystic hygroma. Prenatal trio exome sequencing identified causative homozygous truncating variants in ASCC1 previously implicated in spinal muscular atrophy with congenital bone fractures. Prenatal manifestations in ASCC1 can usually include hydramnios, fetal hypo-/akinesia, arthrogryposis, contractures and limb deformities, hydrops fetalis and cystic hygroma.

Objective: To report on real-life therapeutic effectiveness, quality of life (QoL), disease severity, and safety as well as patient-reported symptom bother after approximately 5 yr of follow-up.
Design, Setting, And Participants: A total of 291 OAB patients were enrolled at 25 French sites according to local standard of care.
Objectives: (1) Assess effects of a modified Family Integrated Care (FICare) model on U.S. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) parents; (2) Evaluate NICU nurses' perspectives.

Materials And Methods: We conducted a prospective, single-arm, multicenter study at 3 tertiary centers in France between February 2012 and May 2019. Eligible patients had clinically localized intermediate- or high-risk prostate cancer.
SFA Datalake is the registry platform of the French Society of Arthroscopy (SFA). It was designed to collect and store data on arthroscopic orthopedic surgery and joint-sparing surgery in French-speaking countries. The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear registry is the first registry to be set up based on SFA Datalake.

Introduction: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is a frequent procedure, with room for improvement by rehabilitation measures and associated peripheral and meniscal surgeries that are currently under assessment, requiring follow-up. Outside France, there have been ACL registries for 20 years now. The French Arthroscopy Society (SFA) decided to set up an ACL tear registry within its SFA DataLake registry platform.

Here, we investigated limits of prenatal phenotype for ES interpretation thanks to a blindly reanalysis of postmortem ES data using prenatal data only in fetuses affected by MCA and harboring a (likely)pathogenic variant or a variant of unknown significance (VUS). Prenatal ES identified all causative variant previously reported by postmortem ES (22/24 (92%) and 2/24 (8%) using solo-ES and trio-ES respectively).

Orbital involvement is found in a third of cases, but few data are available concerning the radiological features of ECD-related orbital disease (ECD-ROD). Our aim was to characterize the initial radiological phenotype and outcome of patients with ECD-ROD.

The enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocol has shown reduced lengths of hospital stay and reduced postoperative complications. Currently, there is a paucity of recommendations in regards to dressing selection for postoperative wound care within the ERAS protocol.

Objective: To analyze diary-based effectiveness, quality of life (QoL), disease severity, symptom bother, and safety data for SNM with the InterStim system up to 3 yr after implantation.
Design, Setting, And Participants: Twenty-five representative French sites enrolled 291 patients with OAB followed according to the local standard of care.
Background: Rotator cuff tears are common shoulder injuries that often cause pain and loss of function. Nonanatomic side-to-side techniques facilitate repair by minimizing tensions within tendons to improve healing and optimize the thickness of sutured tissues.
Purpose/hypothesis: The purpose was to evaluate long-term clinical and radiographic outcomes of arthroscopic side-to-side repair of massive rotator cuff tears (mRCTs).
Objectives: Despite the guidelines in effect, too few women in France receive folic acid supplementation. The principal objective of this study was to identify the factors associated with the inadequacy of this supplementation in the periconceptional period. The secondary objective was to assess women's knowledge about the prevention of neural tube defects (NTDs).

PRDM16 (positive regulatory domain 16) is localized in the critical region for cardiomyopathy in patients with deletions of chromosome 1p36, as defined by Gajecka et al., American Journal of Medical Genetics, 2010, 152A, 3074-3083, and encodes a zinc finger transcription factor. We present the first fetal case of left ventricular non-compaction (LVNC) with a PRDM16 variant.
