These post hoc analyses explored the effect of selexipag in PAH patients with cardiovascular comorbidities in the GRIPHON study.
Methods And Results: Randomized patients (n = 1156) were classified using three methods: (i) by subgroups defined according to previously published comorbidity count and restrictive haemodynamic criteria: Subgroup A (<3 comorbidities and haemodynamic criteria met; n = 962) and Subgroup B (≥3 comorbidities and/or haemodynamic criteria not met; n = 144); comorbidities included body mass index ≥30 kg/m , essential hypertension, diabetes, history of coronary artery disease; (ii) by number of comorbidities, with addition of atrial fibrillation (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5); (iii) by presence of individual comorbidities.

We discuss the difficulty of diagnosing neurosyphilis, the need for lumbar puncture, and risk factors of relapse. Because HIV infection may alter the natural history and response of neurologic syphilis to treatment, scrupulous follow-up and repeated cycles of therapy are warranted.

To examine the epigenetic changes that are required for the dominant conversion of lymphocytes to muscle, we generated heterokaryons between human B lymphocytes and mouse C2C12 myotubes. We show that within 2 days of heterokaryon formation lymphocyte nuclei adopt an architecture resembling that of muscle and then initiate the expression of muscle-specific genes in the same temporal order as developing muscle.

Memory lymphocytes are important mediators of the immune response. These cells are long-lived and undergo clonal expansion upon reexposure to specific antigen, differentiating into effector cells that secrete Ig or cytokines while maintaining a residual pool of memory T and B lymphocytes. Here, the ability of antigen-specific lymphocytes to undergo repeated cycles of antigen-driven clonal expansion and contraction is exploited in a therapeutic protocol aimed at regulating protein delivery.
