Background: The prognosis in patients with advanced cardiac amyloidosis (CA) remains poor.
Objectives: We sought to describe survival post heart transplantation (HT) in amyloid compared with non-amyloid recipients, highlight waitlist times within the new allocation system across three Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) regions, and describe multiorgan transplantation (MOT) in hereditary amyloidosis.
Methods: This is a retrospective review of end-stage CA patients who underwent HT at Mayo Clinic from January 2007 to December 2020.
Background: Although recommended in International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) guidelines, transition to mammalian targets of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibitors in heart transplant recipients is not routinely performed, in part due to perceived risk of rejection. This study sought to evaluate the incidence and risk factors for biopsy-proven, clinically relevant rejection following conversion from calcineurin inhibitor (CNI) to sirolimus (SRL) immunosuppression.
Methods: A single center retrospective study was conducted of all consecutive adult patients who underwent orthotopic heart transplantation (OHT) and CNI-free SRL conversion from January 1999 to January 2023.

Methods And Results: In a retrospective cohort study, we reviewed 848 patients from our institutional cardiac sarcoidosis clinics, identifying those with a cardiac sarcoidosis diagnosis, HF (left ventricular ejection fraction <50%) at index evaluation, and echocardiograms within 90 days and 11 to 36 months. Patients were stratified by participation in a pharmacist-led medication therapy management (MTM) program for guideline-directed medical therapy optimization (MTM versus non-MTM [NMTM]) without randomization.
What happens to macromolecules ? What drives the structure-activity relationship and stability for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs)? These interrelated questions are increasingly relevant due to the re-emerging importance of ADCs as an impactful therapeutic modality and the gaps that exist in our understanding of ADC structural determinants that underlie ADC stability. Complex macromolecules, such as ADCs, may undergo changes due to their intricate structure as biotransformations may occur on the linker, the payload, and/or at the modified conjugation site. Furthermore, the dissection of ADC metabolism presents a substantial analytical challenge due to the difficulty in the identification or quantification of minor changes on a large macromolecule.

The diagnosis of CS is inherently difficult due to variable presentations; as such, endomyocardial biopsy is often required but lacks sensitivity due to patchy myocardial involvement. Moreover, the diagnostic criteria of CS and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy overlap, particularly in right-side dominant or biventricular presentations, which further complicates an already challenging differential diagnosis.

Background: The purpose of this systematic review was to evaluate outcomes following intra-articular injection of hyaluronic acid (HA) for the treatment of hallux rigidus.
Methods: During April 2024, a systematic review of the MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library databases was performed based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Data collected and analyzed were number of patients, patient age, follow-up, subjective clinical outcomes, complications, and failures.
