Objective: This study describes the methodology used in the development of MonitoraSB, an innovation in the field of evaluating and monitoring oral health services in primary health care (PHC) in Brazil, and it discusses its characteristics and possible uses.
Methods: MonitoraSB includes a matrix of indicators and digital tools, developed in collaboration with oral health team dentists and oral health managers. The indicators evaluate the provision and management of oral health services and were developed on the basis of the model for evaluating the effectiveness of oral health care.
Although and may colonize tonsillar tissues, the interaction between them in mixed biofilms has been poorly explored. This study established an interkingdom biofilm model of and and verified the dose-response validation of antimicrobials. Biofilms were formed on microplates, in the presence or absence of a conditioning layer of human saliva, using Brain Heart Infusion (BHI) broth or artificial saliva (AS) as a culture medium, and with variations in the microorganism inoculation sequence.

Methods: A retrospective study was carried out from 2010 to 2016 based on the data obtained from the Notification Disease Information System of TB patients treated at a reference service in Brazil.
Although serum ferritin (SF) has been shown in several studies to be a potential cancer biomarker, the results are inconsistent. Herein, a systematic review was performed to investigate the clinical SF levels in different types of tumors in order to verify the role of SF levels as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis. The search was performed using the PubMed/Medline, Cochrane Library, and Scopus databases.

Material And Methods: A cross-sectional online questionnaire-based survey was presented to the volunteers containing questions regarding personal and professional profile, as well as three clinical cases of internal and external inflammatory root resorption. A series of multiple-choice questions about the diagnosis and treatment options were surveyed.
Objective: to characterize simulation practices in nursing courses in Brazil, considering the attributes developed, facilities, and challenges encountered.

Background/aim: Anti-allergic drugs can inhibit the hard tissue resorption process, and due to similarities between root resorption and bone mechanisms, it can be inferred that these drugs may also control root resorption. The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of anti-allergic drugs used systemically on the process of root resorption following delayed tooth replantation.
Materials And Methods: Thirty-two maxillary right incisors of rats were extracted and subsequently replanted.
Smoking is one of the main risk factor for periodontal disease, increasing its prevalence and severity. Probiotics emerged as an alternative for the prevention and treatment of many diseases, since it can modulate the host immune response and modify the modify the microbiome. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to evaluate the effects of probiotic administration on the periodontal tissues in rats exposed to cigarette smoke inhalation (CSI).

Methods: Six experimental light-curing BisGMA/HEMA resins solvated in ethanol and DMSO with increasing concentrations of DMSO (0, 0.5, 1, 2, 4 and 10wt%) were prepared.
The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between oral diseases and their impact on the daily performance of adult and elderly Brazilians, verify the association of oral diseases with socioeconomic and demographic features, and compare the standard estimate of need with the sociodental assessment of these same needs. The authors evaluated data from 17,398 Brazilians aged between 35-44 years and 65-74 years, taken from the cross-sectional Brazilian Oral Health Survey (Saúde Bucal Brasil - SBBrasil). Regression models were applied to assess associations among impacts on daily performance and income, schooling, gender, region, use of dental services, health perception and dental disease status.
