Unlabelled: Early diagnosis of rheumatologic diseases can improve patient outcomes. While clinical presentations of rheumatologic diseases can be vague, dermatomyositis (DM) has distinctive cutaneous findings that can clue in providers towards the diagnosis. This is a case report of a 49-year-old female who presented with progressive facial swelling, rash, and generalized myalgias for a month.

Introduction And Hypothesis: To evaluate how women with uncomplicated antibiotic-recalcitrant recurrent urinary tract infections (RUTIs) and extensive inflammatory bladder lesions on office cystoscopy responded to electro-fulguration (EF) to eliminate these chronic bladder sites.

Methods: After IRB approval, a retrospective study of non-neurogenic women with RUTIs, inflammatory lesions on cystoscopy, and who underwent EF was performed. Lesions were classified through a simplified staging system based on the extent of bladder wall involvement.

Background: Current guidelines for severe rib fractures recommend neuraxial blockade in addition to multimodal pain therapies. While the guidelines for venous thromboembolism prevention recommend chemoprophylaxis, these medications must be held for neuraxial blockade placement.
