Estimation of the Prevalence of Occupational Exposure to Biological Fluids among Anesthesiologists: A Survey Study.

Background And Aims: Percutaneous injuries caused by sharps and exposure to biological fluids are a serious concern for anesthesiologists and pose a significant risk of transmission of blood-borne pathogens.

Materials And Methods: The aim of this study was to estimate the prevalence of exposure to biological fluids among anesthesiologists. A questionnaire designed initially was validated after it was sent to 10 anesthesiologists with more than 5 years' experience.
