Background: This study characterized Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) infection epidemiology and clinical features in patients with acute respiratory infections (ARIs) in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, China, compared by pre- and post-COVID-19 periods.
Methods: Between January 2014 and December 2023, the basic and clinical information, as well as respiratory tract specimens from ARIs, were collected at 14 sentinel hospitals in Shanghai Pudong. Specimens were tested for HMPV and other respiratory pathogens.
Metal-organic framework (MOF-818) and nanocomposite (FeO@PB-Au) dual nanozymes for enhanced cascade signal amplification were designed. MOF-818 has excellent catechol oxidase mimetic activity and catalyzes the production of color and generation of hydrogen peroxide from the substrate 3,5-di--butylcatechol (3,5-DTBC). Subsequently, FeO@PB-Au with peroxidase-like activity catalyzes the generation of reactive oxygen species from hydrogen peroxide, which oxidizes 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) to generate the oxidized state of oxTMB, resulting in a signal-enhancing effect.

With the output characteristics of the PSD in the defect spot mode and the size transformation properties of a focused beam, the measurement sensitivity can be significantly improved. Calibration experiments with the piezoelectric transducer (PZT) indicate that compared with the current PSD-based autocollimation method, the proposed method can improve the sensitivity of small-angle measurement by 57 times, and the measurement sensitivity of the proposed method can be further improved by optimizing the system parameters, while the proposed method has the advantages of a simple system and high real-time performance.

Method: Approximately 728 older adults in urban and rural areas of Chongqing were surveyed using face-to-face questionnaires. Cognitive function was assessed with the Montreal Cognitive Assessment-Basic (MoCA-B) scale, and the vegetable and fruit intake groups were investigated with the Simple Food Frequency Counting Survey Scale.
Clinical nutritionists are responsible for nutritional therapy in clinical practice, which significantly enhances patients' nutritional status. This study aims to develop and validate a competency evaluation scale to effectively assess the abilities of clinical nutritionists. The competency evaluation scale for clinical nutritionists was developed based on the iceberg model, utilizing literature review, semi-structured interviews, and the Delphi method.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe fracture of rocks surrounding the floor roadway during the mining of the working face of a coal mine is a complicated spatiotemporal process due to the superimposed action of multiple stress fields on the surrounding rock mass. Using the surrounding rock of a floor roadway in the working face of the Huainan Pan'er Mine as the research subject, we conducted real-time monitoring using geoelectric field monitoring technology, and found the spatiotemporal response law of the geoelectric field in the process of regional rupture and damage of engineering rock masses under a complex stress field environment. The results show that (1) the time series response characteristics and spatial distribution of the geoelectric field signal are closely related to the stress distribution and damage evolution of the surrounding rock mass; (2) the rupture and damage degree of the goaf floor significantly increased when the working face was pushed through the monitoring area for 20-40 m.
