Paraduodenal pancreatitis (PP), also known as groove pancreatitis (GP), is a rare and distinct variant of chronic pancreatitis and presents significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. This comprehensive case study explores a 54-year-old male patient's journey, highlighting the intricate relationship between clinical presentation, diagnostic modalities, and management strategies. Despite a history of smoking and alcohol consumption, the diagnosis of PP was primarily reliant on advanced imaging techniques, including computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, which revealed characteristic findings of GP.

Materials And Methods: A 53 mL butterfly-shaped hollow container made of two 45-degree transparent elbows was put into a NEMA IEC phantom tank. The butterfly-shaped container and the tank were then filled with NaTcO4 of different radioactive concentrations, respectively, which could simulate thyroid gland with GH by different target-to-background ratios (T/B) (200:1, 600:1, 1000:1).
Background: Ischemic stroke (IS) is more common every year, the condition is serious, and have a poor prognosis. New, efficient, and safe therapeutic targets are desperately needed as early treatment especially prevention and reperfusion is the key to lowering the occurrence of poorer prognosis. Generally circulating proteins are attractive therapeutic targets, this study aims to identify potential pharmacological targets among plasma and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) proteins for the prevention and treatment of IS using a multicenter Mendelian randomization (MR) approach.

Luteolin-7-rutinoside and other compounds were first discovered in fuzhuan tea.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground And Aim: Buyang Huanwu Decoction (BHD) is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine that is effective for treating cerebral ischemia (CI). However, the molecular mechanisms of BHD in CI have not been fully elucidated. In this study, we integrated the circular RNA (circRNA)-microRNA (miRNA)-messenger RNA (mRNA) network of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MACO) rats treated with BHD.

It is abundant in triple-negative breast cancers (TNBC), making it a promising target for molecular imaging and therapy. Based on the structure of a potent MELK inhibitor (OTSSP167) with high affinity, we developed a novel carbon-11 radiolabeled molecular probe C-methoxy-OTSSP167, and evaluated its application in positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of TNBC.
