Article Synopsis
  • A study explored how all-trans-retinoic acid (ATRA) affects inflammation after a stroke, focusing on its molecular mechanisms.
  • Researchers used rats who experienced a stroke and treated them with ATRA to evaluate its impact on neurological function, brain damage, and inflammatory responses.
  • Results showed that ATRA reduced brain damage and improved recovery by decreasing inflammation and modifying microglial activation, possibly through the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway, suggesting its potential as a treatment for post-stroke inflammation.
