Tourette syndrome (TS) is a childhood neurodevelopmental disorder marked by motor and vocal tics, with unclear causes, though inflammation and lifestyle factors may impact its severity.
The study aims to explore the link between diet (specifically the dietary inflammatory index, DII) and the severity and recurrence of TS in children, involving 207 participants from a hospital in Qingdao.
Results indicated that follow-up evaluations divided children into stable and recurrent groups, but no significant differences were found in demographic factors like age or gender among the groups studied.
